1 have 1 problem with the system and its that the zig doesent get to the top water easily in realy deep watermaybe im doing something wrong but i dont know what
Cast it out, wind the float down to the lead, put rod in rest and to adjust depth just pay out the required amount of line. So if your hook link is 4ft and you pay out 2ft of line you will be fishing 6ft off the deck. Simples and really effective. Can change fishing depth in an instant and much easier than casting a 12ft zig rig.

its adjustable by plying line out from ur reel depending where bouts u won't to fish ..I use the fox halo n its a gud bit ov kit

What weight is the lead ?
Why not just put a lead then 2 beads, then roll your line round your bread like a sausage and it floats up for ya.
