    Recipe:
    2 Green Plantains
    1/8 tsp of salt
    4 anise star
    1/4 tsp of almond extract or Vanilla
    1/2 cup of sugar
    1 can of carnation milk
    4 cups of water
    Blender to blend the plantains

    This is normally done with the plantains skin, the best way for flavor

    I made this using your recipe as my sibling's child's Haitian relatives said this was their favorite when they were a baby. I made it; they weren't big on it but it still brought back nice memories for them.

    My parent's used to force me to drink this. Literally, holding a belt until I was finished. LOL. Not my favorite memory but it is healthy. It gives strength and energy. Alot of parent's do give it to their kid's. Keep up the great job that you're doing.

      It has to be a certain way for me to enjoy when I visit my Gran she makes it thick. My dad on the other hand...mezanmi not the best but he tries. It's too runny. 💛😅

    Do you ever use cream of wheat to make your labouyi? my grandmere always did but Ive never had it with plantains.

    nice and simple, the only thing I will change lol is I wouldn't waste time in cutting the plantation it will take me to much time and with sleepless nights and kiddos I will just cut it in half and place it line that in the blender lololol (I'm lazy like that lol) I'll make this for sure oh and are those green plantains?

      You can grate the plantain. Do not peel the plantain please.

      Joshua J-f it's more of a preference some ppl leave the skin because they like it that way. You don't necessarily have to peel off the skin if you don't want

      In the North we always peel it , i was suppriesd to se in Port-au- Prince they don ' t peel it.
