The Nexus 5X was my favourite smartphone.
It's an extremely fun, and quick, board game version of Stellaris. I've really enjoyed it so far.
Still waiting for the actual board game version of Stellaris to come out of Kickstarter purgatory ;(
I don't know nothing about this but. You guys kept the doormonster channel alive for so long I'll check it out.
This is actually an awesome game. Very much feels like a streamlined twilight imperium , definitely not a stellaris clone as some believe. It is a digital boardgame effectively.

Guys. It's a computerized board game for people who can't put 40 hours into a single Stellaris game. They changed the name because calling it Stellaris was confusing the hell out of people. This isn't very hard to understand.
The game plays nothing like Stellaris. Hence why the original name got axed.
It's the boardgame Twilight Imperium, just playable in an hour.
Paradox needs some internal shakeup.

This is an amazing game and perfect quick 4x game
I wish this game had a bigger audience, its the perfect 4X/5X game for people who don't have time to play Stellaris.

Its a spin off, a king of the hill-esque RTS
It uses some of the visuals and verbage of Stellaris, but it's more of a boardgame. Don't go in expecting it to play Stellaris (it's turn based vs real-time for instance) . With that said, I've really been enjoying it

I don't think so, this is just a fast-variant where as normal Stellaris is more a long term and methodical investment to get the most out of it this is a "wanna grab a quick game?" - this isn't an option in normal Stellaris.
@@icewolf1911in principle, a quick game can be implemented in stellaris - you move the middle and the end of the game to an earlier time, weaken crises so that you can resist them at earlier stages and that's it

It's just a short digital board game. It's so reductive to say that you can get anywhere near the Twilight Imperium experience in an hour, but I will admit this is a much closer beast to that game than it is to Stellaris in mechanics and game goals, player interaction, and theme.
Commentary about DLC, patches, its spin-off origin - it's all vapid placeholder for Stellaris and PDS woes that don't really apply to this game. It runs well, it's not developed by Paradox, and it has abandoned even the pretense of distilling Stellaris down into an hour. It's just a dev capitalizing on Stellaris popularity; learn some media literacy already.

No macOS, again? Really Paradox?
Mac support isn't worth it. Basically for windows you just compile a game on windows. Done.
For Mac you have to get Mac hardware. Then get a license key. Then you have to compile the game in Xcode. Which "is dogshit and I hate it" according to Pirate Software who is a dev. Now you can finally compile for Mac. But wait, there's more. It will likely break and you'll need to do it all again. You need to reprovision the key, do the stuff in Xcode then compile for Mac and hope to God it works. This is the main reason most developers just don't. The time cost and all of that just never pays off with sales on Mac.

So is this 'baby's first Paradox game'? Honestly it's a brilliant idea, get them dependent on DLCs at young age and milk them for 80 years. Bravo.

They had several new projects, and they all bombed. All the hardcore fans want is stellaris 2 and skylines fixed

Your not wrong but then Paradox should put the trailer in a showcase not randomly upload it to their UA-cam(where only dedicated fans are). And they really shouldn't have shadow dropped it.

I know the Stellaris engine is cool and all... but Stellaris, Star Trek, and now this?? Thats gotta be cutting your own niche into pieces by now surely
But this does look like a cool game, kinda reminds me if the internal politics of Dune somewhat.
