So glad to see this positive video! I am soooo in love with KC! Best place to live hands down. I live in the city & have had deer come up to my backyard, hawks land on my fence, foxes trot by. It’s gorgeous in this city. Lots of creeks & beautiful walk ways. I was taking a walk in Brookside & somebody had chickens in their backyard. It’s awesome! Such a great city! And the weather is super fantastic! Absolutely love all the seasons! People are wonderful, too! Cost of living is perfect to me (used to live in LA).
Kansas City Missouri will always be The City! Love my City! Unfortunately the metro is linked to Kanaas which I think if this metro was actually ALL Missouri like St. Louis metro...We could Accomplish more here on the WestSide Of The State Of Missouri. So there will Always be a border war, Financially, economically...But KCMO All Day!
There are actually 600,000 people in the Metro East (Illinois suburbs of StL) making it the second largest urban area in Illinois (outside Chicago of course). They ARE in fact counted in our metro population for StL. However, even if you took them out for some reason and still left the K.C. Kansas suburbs in your metro we would still be slightly larger population wise. 🤔😂
@StLouis-yu9iz but of course. History shows STL being an early city than KCMO's metro...from Wentzville to the The Missouri River... A growing metropolis for sure. Here North Of the River has seen growth in Platte and Clay County. Lee's Summit is growing. So slowly KCMO metro is growing on the Missouri side. Now if Missouri can just get I-70 expanded and pass Sports betting here. That'll be great.
As a person from the east coast living here, I absolutely love living here and would consider putting down roots here but the tornado season terrifies me. I’m used to hurricanes. The constant tornado watches/warnings and actual tornadoes that hit this state is the ONLY thing that makes me kinda not want to make KCMO a permanent residence.
The closer you are to the actual city the less likely you are to be hit by a tornado. So just think about that and maybe do a little more research on it.
I grew up in KC but haven't lived there since graduating from college in the late 80s. It's always been a nice place, but it's come a long way since then!
@@movingtokc I used to come back often but my parents retired to NC about a decade ago. So not as much since then. I did come to KC for work about two years ago and spent a lot of time driving all over the city and was blown away by the changes. I love your videos as they make me nostalgic for my hometown (I’ve been in the DC area for 30 years). Keep up the good work!
@@movingtokc The thing I have loved so far are the people. This is my second time living in this area first time in KCMO and the people are great. I create content on IG for those who are new to KC like myself and I have found the great content creators from here are incredible people and have opened the space to me. It's been GREAT! I also love fall, I grew up and live in Houston for 30+ years and never truly experienced a real fall til I moved here and I LOVE FALL! Thank you for all you do.
St. Louis is a much better city than K.C. Despite the fact we have lost 2/3 of our city population. The urban fabric StL still has from our trolley era lends itself WAY more to urbanist revitalization than car-centric K.C. Cities built for humans first (not automobiles) will thrive into the future. There’s still plenty room on the East side of MO if you want an actual world class city to call home. ;]

It’s all part of what makes KC so unique… also, KCMO all day! 🙌🏼

It has changed a lot since the 80’s. When was the last time you visited?

Great video. I have really enjoyed my time in Kansas City.
Thank you! Glad to hear that you're enjoying it so far! What's your favorite thing about KC?

Kansas City has a great Mexican American Community.
Tons of great Mexican Restaurants and Mexican festivals
What’s your favorite Mexican Restaurant Dante??
@@movingtokc Mi Ranchito.
Thankfully there are many locations throughout the metro.
I would put our(and KCKs) taco up against any other city in America. The best in the USA.
@@Lopez913 What's your go to taco spot in KCK?
Kansas City has the best BBQ in the country.
KC also has tons of great non BBQ restaurant.
We sure do! Thanks for watching Dante 🙌🏼
StL and Memphis style BBQ much better. 😉
I will definitely have some wardrobe updating to do coming from Texas - I don't own any long-sleeved shirts, just cardigans and hoodies! 🥶
You absolutely will!
Nice touch with the barn owls 😂
Thanks 🤣 My editor did a great job there!

Glad you like your city. We can agree to disagree 😉
Are there beaches ?
I mean, there are beaches at many of the lakes 🤷🏼♂️🤣
