Hi Ken and Carol, another great vid. Arundel is a beautiful little town. Liked the look of the overnight stop area, I think we’ll pay a visit soon. That was a very good tour around Arundel, where I went to most weekends for the Black Rabbit pub on the riverside. That was the mid 70s and it was nice to see these parts from your perspective. Not much has changed and the town shops give it a nice bygone days atmosphere. Great drone shots again!.
I thought from the title of the video you had breakfast at the prison, as they have a cafe there called Serving Thyme and the breakfasts are meant to be really good.
Another goodie thank you...really good. Great narration and camera stuff and one of our favourite places to visit. It appears you live locally and will recognise Petworth and a lovely journey precedes the town..Stane Street A29. The Old London Road. Have you visited The Roman Villa in Bignor ?. I really look forward to your uploads and click like even before it's started
My pleasure no problem....also if you like historic stuff...there is a great one in Emsworth...Warblington Roman Villa...its very interactive during the school holidays...including making Roman bread...the staff are all costumed . Petworth House is great too...for a picnic overlooking the lake....
Wonderful visit to Arundel… “quaintly posh” place indeed. I’ve only ever glimpsed it, and the castle, in the distance as we’ve hurtled past en route to Portsmouth, so it was super interesting to see it close up. (My husband has ancestors who were servants in the castle….absolutely eons ago.) Watching you cook those sausages, I wondered, how do you cope with the smell of cooking permeating everything?…I always wonder how van lifers deal with food pongs in their bedding and clothing and hair.
Hi Wendy. Arundel is well worth stopping off to explore and especially the castle when it is open. We are never bothered by cooking smells, just make sure the van gets a good airing. We pop the roof up when the weather is nice and try and sleep with the front windows cracked open unless the weather is too bad 🙂
Hi Carol and Ken, I have been watching your 'adventures' only for a short time but they are amazing and enjoyable. I have a Motorhome of my own which has inspired me to take up Motorhoming again. One question, how do I find the 'next' UA-cam clip to follow your adventures in sequence? Sorry I'm just a bit confused. vjt Southampton uk
Hi Valerie. Thanks for watching and glad you are enjoying our videos. The best way to watch them in order is via our playlists. Here is a video on how to do that if you are unsure: ua-cam.com/video/99xBHs5d62U/v-deo.html
Great vid again guys, worth waiting for. That was so cruel, persuading Carol that she needed a yum yum and after all that hard work, the shop was closed.. I ask you! Oh by the way Ken. Thank you for the tip with the tile grout tool, covered with a microfiber cloth to clean the windows. Bernie found one in the garage and we used for the first time this trip. Works a treat, even to clear the windows of our exotic stealth camp in the garage carpark last night. Still no news on Buddy 😔🚙
Hari Om ...Ken in the bakery, Carol trying concentrate on bread, two of those pastries ta... ... two streets over; Ken 'oooohhhh lookkky here'; Carol 'nope - well no - well n --- well yes..' BUT... Saved from yourselves! You never did show us whether the first pastries lived up to the choice! Honestly, what a cackle. It's nearly midnight and now I have the munchies. Your vids oughtta come with diet warning &*> What lovely places, though. Mind you, that Chinese even looked proper posh! Hope the roof is sorted now and you are planning the next red van adventure... YAM xx
Great tour around there, ill be getting married in arundel town hall in june, moved from Manchester to now findon valley 5 years ago having met my fiance on the Internet, Arundel is my favorite place to visit
Congratulations. Lovely location for a wedding, the town has so much character and plenty of great photo opportunities. Wishing you and your fiancé a wonderful wedding day and many happy years together ❤️
Hi, many thanks for all your wonderful videos and excellent advice. I am highly interested in the NV200 and would like to ask you kindly if it is possible to make a review about the base vehicle as well as the carpervan - after having so much experience. For example: is there any waste water tank in the car? Is the solar panel enough to create sufficient electricity? Does the air-blowing heater takes too much electricity? Is the 1.5 diesel motor (made by renault?) reliable and/or economical to drive? Is the car well-insulated for winter usage. Many thanks in advance for the time and consideration!
No waste tank, we just use a box in the sink which is tipped outside every day. Solar would be enough if the sun shines everyday. In reality though using the engine to recharge our lithium leisure battery is very quick. In the winter we run the heating over night set to about 17 deg C. The fridge is on permanently. In the morning the battery has been depleted to about 60%. We can go down to 20% as it’s a lithium. Power has never been an issue for us. The solar panel failed a while back and on that trip we were running the engine more but never got short of power. Touch wood engine has been reliable. We average 53mpg per gallon of diesel. The van does not seem particularly well insulated but in reality to fully winterise it would lose so much living space. We do use it all year round and the only problem we find is condensation on the windows, but all single pane windows suffer that.
Regarding how to manage a step in dog poo, we use hydrogen peroxide undiluted to rinse it off. It denatures the proteins and eliminates odors. It’s also found everywhere and is inexpensive, less than a dollar or so.
Thank you for the video. Almost my home territory. We use that bakers everytime we are there. Your drone shots were superb, Dare you say where you launched from (the over the town bit). Surprised to see so many people still wearing masks. Great breakfast.
It was the first time we had been in Pallant’s but would definitely shop there again. This video was filmed in mid January when you still had to wear masks in shops in England.
Don't know if anyone has already mentioned this but Amberly Chalk pit was used in a bond film, A view to a kill. My dad drives us down when it was being filmed.😊😊
Been watching lots of your adventures over again 2 questions …1 do you remember I asked what a price of music was I tried to find my comment today but couldn’t …it was something like the tree on the water ? 2nd question …I’m sure when I went into your playlist a while back you had videos up of your travels before you had the van ..am I imagining that ? If they were there before would you consider replaying them x
I can’t remember the piece of music you are referring to but we are now listing the music in the video description. There is a playlist for our Outer Hebrides caravan trip in 2019. You should also be able to find: New Zealand road trip 2013 Life is too short - India Freedom is coming - one from our past 3-4 July 2018 Ipswich and Dagnall (3 parts) 🙂
Dog poo........zoflora disinfectant is easy to store, then dilute in small collapsible bucket etc., and use a cheap washing up brush to clean the muck off the shoe.
Morning both, just to give a lil goodness back in return for all your wonderful videos, check out 'Yorkshire Peach' happy giggling & camping from 🏴 (btw what was the verdict on the chickory lol did i miss a bit?)
FYI your vehicle is so small you can park in any residential neighborhood in front of anybody's house and no one's even going to notice and it's actually a lot safer
I don't use my RidgeMonkey i hate that the lid is a bit of a faff, i now use NGT Bankside Grill XL its much better i think. love your videos ps. something you may like what i use in my tiny van is a Beach lounger Mat always asked where i got it from mine is made by Crivit
@@LifeistooshortCK If you go for the lounger mat go for just the basic one with the pocket and adjustable strap at the back i am a big chap they are strong as it is just a single metal frame for a back rest. What else is there to think of 🤔
That was a very good tour around Arundel, where I went to most weekends for the Black Rabbit pub on the riverside. That was the mid 70s and it was nice to see these parts from your perspective. Not much has changed and the town shops give it a nice bygone days atmosphere. Great drone shots again!.
Glad you enjoyed it. We have eaten in the Black Rabbit in previous visits 🙂👍
I thought from the title of the video you had breakfast at the prison, as they have a cafe there called Serving Thyme and the breakfasts are meant to be really good.
We didn’t realise that, sounds good 👌 😁
Another goodie thank you...really good.
Aww thanks Happy Hermit. We know Petworth well but haven’t been to the Roman Villa at Bignor. It is on the to do list 🙂👍
My pleasure no problem....also if you like historic stuff...there is a great one in Emsworth...Warblington Roman Villa...its very interactive during the school holidays...including making Roman bread...the staff are all costumed .
Petworth House is great too...for a picnic overlooking the lake....
@@happyhermit2022 didn’t know about Warblington Roman Villa, thanks for the tip 🙂👍
Wonderful visit to Arundel… “quaintly posh” place indeed. I’ve only ever glimpsed it, and the castle, in the distance as we’ve hurtled past en route to Portsmouth, so it was super interesting to see it close up. (My husband has ancestors who were servants in the castle….absolutely eons ago.)
Watching you cook those sausages, I wondered, how do you cope with the smell of cooking permeating everything?…I always wonder how van lifers deal with food pongs in their bedding and clothing and hair.
Hi Wendy. Arundel is well worth stopping off to explore and especially the castle when it is open.
We are never bothered by cooking smells, just make sure the van gets a good airing. We pop the roof up when the weather is nice and try and sleep with the front windows cracked open unless the weather is too bad 🙂
Hi Carol and Ken,
I have been watching your 'adventures' only for a short time but they are amazing and enjoyable.
Here is a video on how to do that if you are unsure:

Great vid again guys, worth waiting for. That was so cruel, persuading Carol that she needed a yum yum and after all that hard work, the shop was closed.. I ask you! Oh by the way Ken. Thank you for the tip with the tile grout tool, covered with a microfiber cloth to clean the windows. Bernie found one in the garage and we used for the first time this trip. Works a treat, even to clear the windows of our exotic stealth camp in the garage carpark last night. Still no news on Buddy 😔🚙
You’re welcome, thanks for watching. Hope you get Buddy back soon 🙂🤞🚙
cool vid on the channel thanks lee
Thanks Lee 🙂👍

Saved from yourselves! You never did show us whether the first pastries lived up to the choice! Honestly, what a cackle. It's nearly midnight and now I have the munchies. Your vids oughtta come with diet warning &*>
What lovely places, though. Mind you, that Chinese even looked proper posh! Hope the roof is sorted now and you are planning the next red van adventure... YAM xx
Hi YAM. Yes, it was a good job that cake shop was closed else our sugar intake would have been sky high that day! The Danish pastries were delicious 😋
Hi, guys.
Hi Will 👍
Great tour around there, ill be getting married in arundel town hall in june, moved from Manchester to now findon valley 5 years ago having met my fiance on the Internet, Arundel is my favorite place to visit
Thank you so much for the informative answer. I love your videos and enjoy your vast experience. Best health and many thanks indeed.
Regarding how to manage a step in dog poo, we use hydrogen peroxide undiluted to rinse it off. It denatures the proteins and eliminates odors. It’s also found everywhere and is inexpensive, less than a dollar or so.
That’s an interesting solution we have not heard of before. Thanks for the tip 🙂👍
@@LifeistooshortCK Thank you.
Don't know if anyone has already mentioned this but Amberly Chalk pit was used in a bond film, A view to a kill. My dad drives us down when it was being filmed.😊😊
No we didn’t know that Dale, thanks for the info 🙂😀
Been watching lots of your adventures over again 2 questions …1 do you remember I asked what a price of music was I tried to find my comment today but couldn’t …it was something like the tree on the water ? 2nd question …I’m sure when I went into your playlist a while back you had videos up of your travels before you had the van ..am I imagining that ? If they were there before would you consider replaying them x
I can’t remember the piece of music you are referring to but we are now listing the music in the video description. There is a playlist for our Outer Hebrides caravan trip in 2019. You should also be able to find:
New Zealand road trip 2013

Freedom is coming - one from our past 3-4 July 2018

@@LifeistooshortCK ahh brilliant thanks ❤️
Dog poo........zoflora disinfectant is easy to store, then dilute in small collapsible bucket etc., and use a cheap washing up brush to clean the muck off the shoe.
We have now made up a spray bottle with diluted Zoflora and carry a brush ☺️👍
Morning both, just to give a lil goodness back in return for all your wonderful videos, check out 'Yorkshire Peach' happy giggling & camping from 🏴 (btw what was the verdict on the chickory lol did i miss a bit?)
Just Peachy 🍑😂👍
Very nice video.. nice quaint little town and the lake was very placid. Lots of wildlife. Scenery was gorgeous.
FYI your vehicle is so small you can park in any residential neighborhood in front of anybody's house and no one's even going to notice
and it's actually a lot safer
Good to know 🙂👍
I don't use my RidgeMonkey i hate that the lid is a bit of a faff, i now use NGT Bankside Grill XL its much better i think. love your videos ps. something you may like what i use in my tiny van is a Beach lounger Mat always asked where i got it from mine is made by Crivit
Thanks for watching and the tips. We will check out that beach lounger mat 🙂👍
@@LifeistooshortCK If you go for the lounger mat go for just the basic one with the pocket and adjustable strap at the back i am a big chap they are strong as it is just a single metal frame for a back rest. Had mine for years very lightweight and store flat you will both love it. It looks like this ua-cam.com/video/bNTIVyA4e6o/v-deo.html
