While taking a human captive and holding them against their will is fundamentally wrong, a mermaid would probably see it as a way to keep their "beloved" safe from all harm; same goes for using their magic to cause pain: in a sense, it falls under the mentality of "I'll only hurt them a tiny bit now to prevent them from being hurt worse later."

Ben I listened to the third and fourth part of this series and it made my sad. I felt terrible holding your character against his will and taking him away from everything he loved if I truly loved him I would let him go because even if he was far away from me he'd always be with me in my heart forever. Being the yandere mermaid breaks my heart and I feel like my her heart is turning black like the darkness and i feel like she has no soul,feelings,regrets and is just selfish.
