Fine, I'll take the compliment without a qualifying statement. Either way, it's good to hear that it made sense as I was worried that video in particular was a bit lengthy. Buy hey, I kept it under 20 mins. Thanks again!!!
Great to hear. Plans for the larger version of the folding picnic table are available through a facebook group "Woodworking for Beginners" Thanks for the kind words!
Thank you for the kind words. I'm trying to put a series together of what I wish I had back when I first started. Not sure if it reaches a large enough audience though. Only time will tell...
Love how you are documenting all of your costs and projections. That design should do well for you! One thing I noticed was the background music level needs to be lowered a bit. It was hard to hear your voiceover and was distracting to me as you were explaining the dimensions. Maybe a thought, use a music only track instead of something with lyrics, the levels are competing against each other. Aside from that love your videos!
This makes sense. I should have had other people look at the video prior to posting the video as I am partial to the music because it's my brother's band. I'll try to get my brother to help me out with some instrumental stuff. Thanks for the constructive criticism as I'm sure people will just pour it on. :)
I made a second one without music and I think I'm omitting music from here on out. Glad you like the rest of it. Working on my next video but it's slow going because of work, family, kids etc. Thanks for the comment!
@@makemoneywoodworking 2 cents: totally agree with ur decision regarding excluding music moving forward. The tracking of net and gross overhead and pre-sales is very insightful 👌 keep it up brother. NA AA CA HA are always waiting
Thank you. I'm glad to be back. I'd like to get in a rhythm of putting out videos more frequently 🤞. I think it was good for me to get EP 6 out of the way because it was substantially more difficult than the previous ones...now future projects seem a lot easier.
@@makemoneywoodworking I know the feeling. I have a UA-cam channel called bugoutdoors. I was doing videos almost every week and got burnt out. Haven't done one in close to a year now
Curious as to where you are getting your lumber prices from. Lumber prices, at least in the US, are ridiculously high right now. Those 6 2x6's would run me over $60 USD at current rates. Also, and maybe I missed it but dimensional lumber is fairly wet and after milling it will warp/crack/split etc and even more so when resawn....which is evident at 0:41 where you can see the cracking along the edge of the first board. With the pretense that these are being made for profit and assuming that you'd prefer to put out a good product how do you intend to combat this? reputation is paramount in this type of business and having a bad one is a sure fire way of failing to make it a sustainable business at any level.
Thanks for the comment. I do purchase the wood in bulk any chance I get. I get my lumber from Building Materials Bargain Center in Salem OR, which is considerably lower that the two big box stores. When I purchase in bulk, it is able to sit in my basement on a wood rack that I built years ago. This helps acclimate the wood to my basement but by no means completely solves the problem. There have been only 2 times that I can think of off the top of my head where people messaged me about a board, to which I've gladly made the trip out and made adjustments, free of charge. I haven't added this into my cost analysis as I wouldn't know where to stop. You are absolutely right about the reputation part. Thanks for the comment!
If you join the fb page "Woodworking For Beginners" you can click on "files" at the top and you can download the larger version for free. Unfortunately for me, I made this bench before seeing these plans first 🤷🏼♂️
Agreed. I took music off my latest video and my dad mentioned that he missed the music to which I responded with essentially the same thing you just did but he disagreed. Of course, he may be biased as it's my brother's music.👍
Yeah, it's my brother's band, so I'm a little biased. Right now the entire album is free on bandcamp to download.🤘 armorada.bandcamp.com/album/the-well
Very cool and great project to make for yourself, friends and family but not to make any money with. The unfinished table sells for $140. Not counting any of the tool costs, just the materials used, the cost is $110. You make $30 profit. Not worth doing as a money maker if it takes you more than 2 hours from start to finish. I believe it would take substantially more time than 2 hours if you include the time spent going to buy the lumber and hardware so your hourly wage is not much.
Free plans for an adult-sized folding table are available via the Facebook group...Woodworking For Beginners.
Any plans for making these plans available somewhere other than FB? I haven't had FB for several years and have no plans to return.
Something I can work on. Thanks for the reminder!
Do you have an actual link to the facebook group. I think I may have joined the wrong group.

Hell yeah, welcome back man. I pray all is well with you and your family.
I appreciate it
The best explanation of a project I've ever seen!! Great job my man!! You just earned my sub!! Keep up the great work!!
I'd qualify your statement by saying best considering he wasn't using any plans...
Seriously though, thank you! I do appreciate it.
Best overall, with or without!! No one else goes through the degrees and cuts like you did, and for a new woodworker like me, thats very appreciated!!

Hey man love your channel. Thank you for being so thurough. One suggestion I have for you. Put thread locker on the bolt before you put the nut on.
Agreed. I think someone suggested that earlier. I'll have to go back and do that to the boards I haven't sold yet. Thanks for the suggestion!
i have no idea why this has so little views.. you are amazing
Thank you for the encouraging words! Share if you feel led to...👍
I really like your channel and think you do a really good job at explaining things. Good luck with your channel!
Much appreciated!
Just found your channel looking for help building a picnic table. Great video - will definitely check out the rest of the series. Thanks for sharing!

Weekly was good while it lasted though. Did you see a good uptick in subs when you were doing it weekly?
@@makemoneywoodworking definitely. In less than a year I got up to around 450.
Great build. Can I re-make it for the Romanian public? 😊
Sure can!😁
Love the video but watching a how-to video with music is not a great idea. The music was too loud, but thanks for showing us how and the plans.
Yeah, I've since dropped the music. Thanks for watching

I used my driver to run a forsner bit through my ear so I wouldn’t have to listen to that song anymore. OMG 😳 and why so loud!!???
Fitting last name🤣
If you're going to use music, it's best to use instrumental so it doesn't compete with you speaking.
Gotcha. Yeah, I think this is the last video I used music for.
I enjoy the content the music needs to go.
Others have long said the same thing. I've since left out music on all subsequent videos. Thanks for the comment.
Your music is too loud and distracting. It interferes with your voice over.
