I prefer to draw my covers from scratch. I like the traditional artist vibe over the full realism photo-manipulation vibe. You're really talented, though. I love your covers! ❤😍😁 They're beautiful.

Glad I could help! Photoshop is the best software to use for this sort of editing. There aren't any good alternatives as far as I'm aware.

I was curious to know what place you like to source your stock images from, and if you do the type design for the title as well, because I'd be keen to know how to do that fantasy style of typography :)

Gorgeous -- how do you record your speed designs? Trying to do something similar, but I get dropped frames if I speed it up too much. Do you record in a higher frame rate? Thanks!
I use an ap for my PC called Free Cam that records the screen. I've never looked into the settings of what the frame rate is, but if there are dropped framed I don't usually mind because I end up editing boring bits out anyways.

Hi! I'm C.K. Donnelly, one of your followers. I love your videos. I debuted my first novel, a self-published YA Fantasy, about 3 months ago. Reviews are stellar, won some awards (NYC Big Book, quarters at BookLife, get it verdict on Kirkus, etc.). I'm doing all the things I should (active socials, videos, events, interviews, ads, and more), but I'm having a hard time raising awareness, and obviously converting into buyers/readers. I would be so grateful for any suggestions you have.

You've done a magical job, that cover looks exquisite. But as a suggestion maybe try to mute the background music whilst you have your voice over on as it was a little bit distracting.
One teensie little suggestion. Farther objects appear to have lighter shadows due to atmosphere. Those far away castles and rocks they sit on would have lighter shadows to better match the mountains, also, the shadow will adopt the colour of the atmosphere when that distance takes place (if the atmosphere, whether it be air or dust, has any colour)
That change was made in the final design. I forgot to screen record the final touches.
