Hey friends, thanks for going along with me today. I appreciate your comments on ideas for a focal point in the new cut garden! You are so inspiring and have such great garden ideas!!!🌸💚 Thanks ❤ for subscribing, liking and sharing!!! Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy your garden!🌸💚🌸
Hi! Great video. I like the planter in center of your cut garden. That is my favorite. I deal with deer and have hydrangeas. I recommend...Don't do it. It is minor damage now but it gets worse. I spray and add barriers and netting and the like. It is a lot of work. For low maintenance I would take the Bobos out. Put in a deer resistant evergreen like soft touch holly. Gets 2-3 ft tall and wide and does not have to be pruned if you don't want to. Happy gardening! ⚘️❤️🌷
Thanks for the heads up, we may need to do that with the bobos. 😞 I mentioned some little evergreen arbs small and round that are deer resistant. Isaac wanted to stick with the bobos. We will see next spring if he wants to change them out. Thanks for feedback on the focal point too!🙂🌸💚
I like the urn with the pedestal. It needs some height and that accomplishes it. The birdbath you tried is too small and the bench looks lonely. Yes, deer love flower buds--roses, Hostas, and Fuchsia are favorites in my garden. I will look into the Safer deer repellent. There is a granulated product and also a spray that works well. Also, I spread used coffee grounds around my hydrangea and they haven't bothered them. Good luck.
Your son's house is so cute. I like the urn and plinth but a bistro set in a pastel color would be cute too. It would give you a surface to set your supplies on when you are working out there.
Hi Stacy, you are spot on. This morning when I was making the flower bouquet in the garden, that is exactly what I thought… table workspace somewhere in cut flower garden was needed!😉 Isaac picked out all the colors then asked friends and family for input! He never used the front door so opted to replace it for a big picture window … which Cheeto his cat loves!!!😁
Hi Michelle, Every time you go shopping for garden features or thirfting, it gets me inspired to get up and do the same! I love shopping for the garden. Your son's home turned out so nice! Btw, I love your floral blouse. Do you remember where you bought it? Thanks for sharing.😊
Hi Anna, so glad you’re inspired! Thank you for the compliment on Issac’s home, he did a great job picking out new colors for the exterior and adding the new picture window! The floral blouse is from Marshall’s.🌸💚
Liquid Fence is great just spray them in the evening and it will keep deer and rabbits away. They hate the smell and it is strong smelling when sprayed on but will subside. It works well I spray once a week and have had no more problems.
Hi Michelle, I love the large urn with flowers but also adore the idea of the green painted bistro set, tough choice! I can also picture an arch with climbing roses to enter the space. What an amazing place for garden stuff I'd go crazy there!! The liquid fence is the ticket for your son it really works !
Thanks Pam on the feedback!🙂 go to know on the deer repellent. Yes, lots of great garden decor, I hear you!!! I have to remind myself I can’t put everything in my space!! lol… Yes, hadn’t thought of the green until I had seen some French green park chairs in Paris and Angela @ParisienneFarmgirl uses that shade of green on her outdoor chairs…looks fabulous!🙂💚🌸
Where I live in WI I have never seen such a place that has all the beautiful array of wonderful lawn items & statues as this. I love all the metal trellis & arbors and gates. I know where all my money would go! LOL!
I agree Barb the black mulch ties in nice with the shutters and roof color! Isaac originally picked out black lava rock online at Home Depot not realizing it was small bags for fire pit/ outdoor fire place stone. He had sticker shock at $2200…. He liked the 3 for $10 option much better….lol..😉💚🌸
Dear Michelle, Thanks for another fun video! I like the idea of a bistro set, and I also wonder what a wooden one would look like. One of my friends has a set of weathered looking Adirondack chairs with a little wooden table (with a pot of flowers on it) in between them and it always looks so warm and inviting! I’m sure whatever you decide…….it will be perfect! Everything you do (and wear, for that matter) is always lovely!! Love the pretty blouse you have on in the video and your hair looks beautiful!🥰 I always enjoy your videos and listening to your gardening tips! Can’t wait to see what you decide on for your focal point! 💕💕Jackie🪷
Thanks Vickie for sharing! Yes, the black metal bench is the lighter weight of the two, (easier to move) I wasn’t planning on using it , but more of a visual if the bench size would work. 😉🌸💚
Earn on pedestel. Get 4 boxwood shaped like cones for each corner of your garden. Later you might want to connect them with small grass or small boxwood. Brings it all togeather. I have an Arch leading into my garden with boxwood surrounding my petenials in one place in my garden.big box stores are now having 50% off sales now!!
I actually like the urn with the pedestal. Maybe a ring of boxwoods around it. I’m sure whatever you decide, it will look great! Your gardens are lovely!
I like #3 the urn with flowers, I wouldn't want a bench or table out in the hot sun to sit. Also tell your son to get some liquid fence and spray on his flowers, it works great the deer were eating my hostas and I sprayed it on them and they never touched them again.
Thanks for your focal point feedback and the tip for the deer! We checked again today, doesn’t look like the deer has came back…a few blooms remaining! Good to know another option if it returns.😉🦌
I think the bird bath in a little bigger scale sitting in pea gravel planted with some small scale plants...bristol set and arbors are all about in your yard already...js
i like the biistro set, but i think its too much mulch, and about a circle of it needs taken away and maybe some landscape blocks laid down then sit the bistro table on ,,
His prices are great! Think concrete or color in a larger scale is nice. I still love the birdbath idea just back a little more than where yours was. I definitely did nor care more the big modern bench.
Yes, agree the bench didn’t go but it is the lighter weight of the two. Was looking more for a visual on bench/sizing versus actual style. The birds are loving the bird bath idea too…lol for now it’s still there … I saved moving the heaviest item for last!!🙂💚🌸
Thanks Kathleen glad you like my design style! Good to know but I mispronounce words all the time😉 you will be viewing lots of silent videos then! lol…🙂🌸💚

Put deer and fence spray it works I also put grated Irish soap around the plants seems to work they don’t like the smell
Thanks Doreen for the deer repellent ideas! Hopefully Isaac won’t need more but its always great to have other options if this one doesn’t work!🙂🦌

Got the same no dig edging as you Love it helps define the areas from the grass
And it is so easy to use I’m 67 and there was no way I would be able to put down regular edging
Hey Doreen- yes it was super easy to install! 🙂
That is great (BTW 67 is young!!! isn't that the NEW 47...) Keep up the gardening.... Have a wonderful day, Doreen! 🙂💚🌸

Thanks Verna for the deer repellent ideas! 🙂What a pain for you, that would be frustrating!

Michele, chairs and a table are better than 1 bench. I love this fellow's shop.
Hi Barb, thanks for the feedback! I think you’re correct. It may be nice to have some table space for projects too!🙂💚🌸
It’s looking very nice! I like the metal swing for the garden🌻🪴, or something with a little height to it would be nice .
Hi Kathy thanks for sharing, yes I agree some height would be good!🙂💚🌸

Thank you! good to know it works!😉💚🌸
Love liquid fence it works in my garden too!!!
Hello Michelle I think the bistro set with the vase and urn behind it would look beautiful
Thanks Cindy for sharing and watching!🙂💚🌸
My vote is you need some height in the middle like your planter on the pedestal and in a dark shade. So maybe a fountain or a trellis .
Thanks Linda for sharing and for watching!🙂🌸💚

lol…Estelle! 🙂 Yes, lots of ideas for the garden!💚🌸
Awesome video. Love your son’s house. I have to spray Liquid fence on my hydrangeas, lilies, phlox and hostas. It does work. Love and blessings ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks Jean!🙂 and for the tip for deer repellent!🦌🌸
I like the black mulch.

A trellis arch with a rose bush or vine of some sort would be beautiful in the garden. You could add a bench in front of the arch to finish the look.
Thanks for the idea Catina, that does sound beautiful!🌸💚🙂

Thank you Jackie for sharing, that does sound very pretty!🌸 I appreciate your kind words!🙂💚
I like #1 the bistro set but in a color.
Thanks Barb for the feedback! 🙂🌸💚
Michelle, I like Option 4 the urn on the pedestal with a bench maybe something more ornate.
💜💜💜
Thanks Vickie for sharing! Yes, the black metal bench is the lighter weight of the two, (easier to move) I wasn’t planning on using it , but more of a visual if the bench size would work. 😉🌸💚
@@Michelleshomeandgardenyour gardens are gorgeous and you have amazing taste, I know whatever you choose it will be amazing. 💜💜💜
Love the planter without the pedestal.
Thanks for sharing and watching!🙂🌸💚

I think the urn with pedestal is perfect
Thanks Wanda for sharing!🙂💚🌸
I like something big and chunky in the middle. Like the big urn on a pedestal with a bunch of other similar but different pots around it.
Thanks for the idea, Linda!🙂💚🌸
I actually like the urn with the pedestal. Maybe a ring of boxwoods around it. I’m sure whatever you decide, it will look great! Your gardens are lovely!
Thanks for the idea Sherry and for watching!🙂💚🌸
I have a bistro set with an arbor. U could put arbor by fence hang an old mirror on fence to showcase ur plants
Thanks for the idea, Brenda!🙂🌸💚
Loving the cement!!! But they can be expensive. My son made frogs rabbit ladybugs. Little things so I got some from him
Yes, I agree Doreen concrete can be expensive and really heavy to move!!! 🙂🌸💚
I like #3 the urn with flowers, I wouldn't want a bench or table out in the hot sun to sit. Also tell your son to get some liquid fence and spray on his flowers, it works great the deer were eating my hostas and I sprayed it on them and they never touched them again.

Thanks for the ideas, HuntleyHollow!🙂💚🌸
I would stay with the Bistro Chairs and a nice plant in decorative pot.
Hey Gretta- thank you for your suggestion, I appreciate your input!💚🙂🌸
How about keeping the Bistro Set and placing a black metal trellis behind it. Just a thought.
That’s an idea, Martha! Thanks for sharing!🙂💚🌸
Pedestal urn with a pair of benches in concrete or ornate metal.
Thanks for the idea, Christine!🙂💚🌸
I like too see and arbor trelllis with some stone path in the middle.
Thanks for sharing your idea, Rosa!🙂💚🌸
Great deal on that size Hukira! Paid 30. For mine.
Good to know, Sonya!
i like the biistro set, but i think its too much mulch, and about a circle of it needs taken away and maybe some landscape blocks laid down then sit the bistro table on ,,
Thanks for the feedback!🌸🙂💚 Still looking for the perfect addition for that area!
His prices are great! Think concrete or color in a larger scale is nice. I still love the birdbath idea just back a little more than where yours was. I definitely did nor care more the big modern bench.
Where is he located?
Lemont, Darien?
Yes, agree the bench didn’t go but it is the lighter weight of the two. Was looking more for a visual on bench/sizing versus actual style. The birds are loving the bird bath idea too…lol for now it’s still there … I saved moving the heaviest item for last!!🙂💚🌸
Your son was lucky they just the blooms, they ate my whole plant down to ground.
That’s awful Sharon … so frustrating for you!😞
Number 3 without base
Thanks for the feedback and watching!💚🙂🌸
How about a fountain?
Thank you for the idea, Bobbi!🙂🌸💚
Where are your big statues from?
I found them at Menards and thrifted and the large ones I have had for a while. 🙂
Get some spray!!! They can jump your fence
Thanks Sonya!🙂
I enjoy your videos very much, however I had to mute this one. The correct pronunciation of bistro is bee-strow. I do love your gardening style.
Thanks Kathleen glad you like my design style! Good to know but I mispronounce words all the time😉 you will be viewing lots of silent videos then! lol…🙂🌸💚
@@Michelleshomeandgarden no I won’t
Mispronunciation is not something to be proud of.
You lost me at black mulch
Hey Pamela, good to know, I will keep that in mind if it does not work out for me.
