There are a couple of counting mistakes in this video. I need to be better. The point of the video, though, is to jump into a game with a positive count so that you have the advantage right away. Dont play negatives!
How do you avoid playing negative hands? Most casinos around here you can’t jump in mid game and when you sit down and play, it’d be a lot of getting up and finding other tables to not play any negative hands ?
@@A1-BJ truth 😞. I found a $15 minimum game but it’s like an hour away and I’m pretty sure they cheat, or just try to annoy you into leaving. They also cut off close to 2 decks in the shoe
@leonardorobertoreyes8015 thanks... I just filmed a 30 minute video without my mic plugged in.. so much goes into making these, your brain is on overload!!! Thanks for the encouragement!
You have a great channel showing people the basics, one thing tho jumping in and out of tables is not a good idea. Another tip is that if you’re allowed to surrender those 15’s and 16’s against 9 and 10’s you should be doing that. This is very basic stuff, I would suggest learning something more advanced like shuffle tracking and Ace sequencing, you may also want to look into card clumping, this advanced techniques will elevate your game to a whole new level by gaining up to 30% edge over the house. Nonetheless great content, keep it up.
@@A1-BJ Hi A1, you won’t find many videos on shuffle tracking, Ace sequencing or card clumping since the techniques are advanced and most people that use them or master them are not very open to sharing them. For tracking and sequencing the best guide you will have is from 2 books written by Arnold Snyder who pioneered the technique and both can be found on Amazon, 1. Radical Blackjack and 2. Blackjack Shuffle Tracker's Cookbook. Now remember that if you can buy this books so can the casinos so the trick is to understand the technique and change it to fit your needs. As far as card clumping goes this technique is so taboo that any professional card counter will tell you that it will never work since it can’t be proven mathematically but they are wrong since the whole point of playing it is watching how small cards and big cards come out in clumps and adjusting your play accordingly and completely play against basic strategy. When used properly it can give you an 80-90% winning rate. There are over 60 indices in blackjack and all you’re doing is basically using them all whether you know it or not. I don’t want to get too deep into it here but I hope this leads you in the right direction. If you like you can provide your email and I can try and make some time to explain further.
@@A1-BJ I was going to do that several years ago but if I create a channel and teach what I know it will not allow me to play my game since now my personal tricks I use would be out in the open and the casinos now will look at that specific way of playing. The best players will almost never tell you their secrets because once someone else knows it will not be feasible to continue that style of play. Once I came across your channel I told my wife that it was exactly how I wanted to create my channel years ago, now I have perfected my game to a point that if I show people how I play I will screw myself over. When you see most AP’s write a book or tell how they play they are no longer playing that way or not playing at all since what you are showing to the public is now accessible to the casinos and everyone else. Always remember that cover is the most important thing for longevity. By the way I know you got tested out by SPARTAN and your a member of blackjack apprentice, Colin is a great guy but never met him, I’ve also never been tested by anyone, I don’t play in teams I only play solo, my way of playing is so unique that if another AP saw my play they would have a hard time figuring my play out. Maybe one day we will cross paths. Keep up the good work brother and keep training and never stop learning. Quick tip, try to find someone to deal to you instead of you dealing to yourself, when I’m not playing at the casino I play daily at home and my wife deals to me 😁
@KryptoJedi Thanks for the support and kind words! I will keep learning! Hopefully I can convince my wife to deal to me more often. You have a good wife! 😀
OMG I've been reading casino reports and forum posts on bja for a few weeks now and could never figure out what the hell NMSE or "no MSE" meant and didn't want to be the annoying noob asking dumb questions hahaha. I kinda figured out from context that it was something to do with mid shoe but I kept thinking it was some acronym describing tables that don't let you increase your bets mid shoe. Thank god I found your videos lol. Been getting great practice with your practice videos but finally solving my biggest mystery is just icing on the cake.
hey A1 so I know people are always hounding the running count has to be perfect this and that, however why is it so bad to be off by a running count of 1? couldn't we just simulate the game as if their cutting off 1.25 decks instead of 1 and that would give us leeway on things like this or is there some math that I'm not understanding, because when they burn a card at the beginning of the shoe our count is going to be off by 1 a third of the time assuming they don't hole card it so how is this different than them burning 2 cards or just playing 1 card less?
let’s say you miss 4 low cards on a long dealer pull that they scoop up real quick, now you count is off by 4, let’s say there’s 2 decks left and you have a running count of 4, now your gonna be playing what you think is a true 2 at a disadvantage
@bruce4139 first off the burn card doesn't matter with the count, as we count it as part of the penetration. Now that said, I was at a place yesterday that showed me the burn card, and I absolutely used that information. 2nd, being off by 1 in double deck is far worse than being off by 1 in a shoe game. Some pros have said the tolerance for being off by 1 is every 6 decks. But my question is, why are you not wanting to strive for perfection? And lastly, no you can't just change the PEN to account for your bad counting. The pen needs to be precise so you can keep accurate records of your EV and rounds per hour.
@zefrankenberg1475 yeah, that's the first part... then it says and stands on all 17s. Almost every table says that. The difference is either stand or hitting on soft 17.
you're just trying to figure out the flow of the cards at this casino, every table is different and people don't realise that I never play the start of the game I always wait a few hands oh I just know that the cards aren't healthy right now I'm waiting for a sign I'm not getting my special feeling from this table [don't say this one in a creepy way lol] honestly just make something up that sounds like a gambler would say [anything about luck, or flow, or patterns, or some voodoo BS or chakras, or third eyes, the stars alignment, astrology, the stock market, whatever] and the casino will think you're an idiot ploppy [which is what you want]
If the house has a typical .5% edge and we gain .5% for every True Count… wouldn’t +1 make us even and not gaining and edge until +2? I’m confused as to how we have the edge at +1 given this information. Please clarify.
Correct. I say in the video that I wait for a +2 so that I have at least a few rounds to play before it dips below a 1 again. I don't want to wait until a one, play one hand that's all high cards and just jump right back out. I want to play a few,so I wait until it's a bit higher.
@@A1-BJ I was training pretty heavily about 2 years ago. I didn't know that basic strategy was only for zero counts. And started loseing more than when I was gambling. So I gave it up. Armed with this new information I'm back to try it again. Out side of counting I am a huge black jack fan and have been since I was a chap. So either way I'm in it to win it. So I believe it will take me to the next level. Your videos are great inspiration. Thank you

12:52 - I think you switched the running count with the true count after you slipped on the hole card.
He did, it was +3 running count
