Wow! Just...wow!! And that 360 degree shot: I hope sometime you can give us some insight on how you took and processed it. I looked at it on your web site and it is incredible. Your time there with Aaron was well spent!
3:30 cool little lenticular clouds. I camped near there many years ago and using my point and shoot I got one of my favorite pictures with a silhouette of the hills and the cloud. I hate to encourage even more people to visit but it really is a fabulous place. With a great history. Well, not really a "great" history, ask the locals. What a great vid. I know only a little about astrophotography, but I have a little vampire in my blood, and I like the night sky.
That was a tremendous vlog! I've, admittedly, been slacking on MWC season & finally got to take a few shots (with my new camera) last night & it reinvigorated my astrophotography love. Can't wait to get back into it. Thank you for sharing the exif info, it truly does help.
Stunning photo of the MW core with the tufa spires in the foreground at 7:04.. I know this area very well I go there three or four times a year, winter as well as summer
Beautiful compositions...can’t wait to show my wife what’s possible at night. We were just there two days ago returning from Lake Tahoe but were there at noon. Just stunning!
Really glad to see you and Aaron, I discovered you both around the same time when I started Astro. Also love seeing this as I will be down in the Mono Lake and Yosemite Valley areas in a couple weeks. The moon phase won't allow me as wonderful an opportunity but I'll use it as a scouting trip...as long as the fires don't cancel things. Happy you had such a great time visiting. Did you make it up to Oregon at all this trip? If you ever do there's lots of great places to shoot as I am sure Aaron has told you. Lovely shots from you both.
Hi Alyn I think I've seen all your videos and I've become addicted to Astrophotography... the other thing I've always wanted to do an introduction to your videos I love it
Man, this video gets me so hyped to go out and shoot the Milky way, or not shoot the Milky way, I just take pictures, I know that surreal feeling and it gets me so motivated to go out there
Marvelous images. Mono Lake is an otherworldly jewel in the most dynamic landscape and astro location in California. I once imaged Andromadea at the Minaret Vista in Mammoth Lakes.
Great shots Alyn. I've not been to the South Tufa Area, but made my first trip to the one at the west side of the lake last fall, it is pretty incredible. I had hopes of making a trip up there this Spring or Summer but that's not happening, maybe next year.
I really love your work Alyn! You inspire me so much to get out there at night! I wish I could have a 1 on 1 with you to pick your brain. Best astro photographer hands down! 👐🌌📷❤
When were you there? I was at a slightly different tufa spot at Mono Lake on June 29. Absolutely amazing night sky. Your videos have been a huge help to me. Thank you!
These vlogs are very motivating in to observing the night sky myself. However, due to travel complications I’m unable to enjoy the night sky, the way I want too. Hopefully, that’ll soon change and I can enjoy quiet places to enjoy the night sky and stay there as long as I’d like.
8:50 to about 9:15..... On the vid.... What was the light over your left shoulder, as you look at the video, Alyn, as it was moving across the sky..... Cheers
Amazing images, as always but these are incredible. But I’ve a little question, when do you choose to stack or track ? Ask this because I’m always hesitating to use one or the other. It can be rather difficult to edit with tracked images when there are so many structures going up in the sky.
Really awesome and inspiring video Alyn! I noticed you use some kind of lens collar on your wide angle shots and also a kinda shifted tripod plate. Could you maybe pop a link to those products?
I will go to a volcano region in my country Nicaragua this saturday if weather allows it. Time to test Star Adventurer 2i Pro for the first time outside my house
Rest in Peace, may you always have clear skies.
You may be gone Alyn, but you still speak to us and inspire us through your videos.
That was exciting! Thanks for bringing us along Alyn.

16:33 this one just hits different, my favorite of this astrovlog. Awesome!
I love the way your vlogs consistently capture what it feels like to be out there shooting under the night sky. That shot with the island is amazing!
Wonderful vlog! Heading to Mono Lake on Saturday so seeing this was perfect timing!!!
Awesome! That last panorama was incredible.
Stunning photo of the MW core with the tufa spires in the foreground at 7:04.. I know this area very well I go there three or four times a year, winter as well as summer
Thanks Alyn! Watching and listening to you lowers my blood pressure every evening before bed. lol
Just WOW. Can't wait for your book to arrive. To get it read, studied and some trial runs before my holiday to Tenerife.
You are the reason of my Milky Way addiction, Alyn! Thank you very much for this astonishing video!
Another classic astrovlog, beautiful art Alyn! Thanks for sharing.

Great playtime!! Very informative for the location as well as the 33mp A7iv. Remember snake boots when warmer.
Great vlog Alyn and Aaron, just superb, and fun. Looks a bit like El Torcal near Malaga except for the lake. Another dark sky location.
Beautiful compositions...can’t wait to show my wife what’s possible at night. We were just there two days ago returning from Lake Tahoe but were there at noon. Just stunning!
That was an awesome and inspiring video! Thank you for sharing that wonderful night! The 360 pano was incredible!
Amazing images as always - such an inspiration to us beginner astrophotographers.
I can't express my emotions in words!) AMAZING video, Alyn!

Brilliant vlog! loved all of it!
That airglow with the landscape there is amazing. Not sure how you can operate with the sleep deprivation Alyn, but looks like such an amazing trip.
Great video! What a location! Glad you vloged from this beutful place!
Man, this video gets me so hyped to go out and shoot the Milky way, or not shoot the Milky way, I just take pictures, I know that surreal feeling and it gets me so motivated to go out there
dude these images were incredible! wow.
Marvelous images. Mono Lake is an otherworldly jewel in the most dynamic landscape and astro location in California. I once imaged Andromadea at the Minaret Vista in Mammoth Lakes.
Wow, awesome video, thanks so much for your hard work.
You were very close to a Bristlecone pine forest. The oldest trees on the planet! I think that would be an amazing place to hit along with Mono Lake.
I visited the Bristlecones in my California vlog a few weeks ago.
Great shots Alyn. I've not been to the South Tufa Area, but made my first trip to the one at the west side of the lake last fall, it is pretty incredible. I had hopes of making a trip up there this Spring or Summer but that's not happening, maybe next year.
Absolutely stunning images from both of you guys and such a spectacular location. I really am quite jealous.
Fantastic capture’s! Wish I could have been there
Superb as always Alyn, thank you for doing what you do.

6:57 nice shooting star in the background
Great shots! I spent two days there in 2029 doing night and dawn photography. Love Mono!
Solid dude can’t wait to get out in March!!!!!
Wowzer what a night!
Amazing shots Alyn. Think I need a star glow filter 😄
Wow the mars reflection is nice

An amazing vlog, thoroughly enjoyed all the shots.
What's that object moving behind you on around the 9 minute mark??
I love going to Mono Lake. I hope to run into you both out capturing the night
Love all your night sky images!!! When are you coming back to the U.S. again??
8:50 to about 9:15..... On the vid.... What was the light over your left shoulder, as you look at the video, Alyn, as it was moving across the sky..... Cheers
This was an amazing video. I gotta get out there!

That was brilliant!
Fantastic video Alyn.
Allow me a question, are the captures with the sky with an astromodified camera?
Wow! North to south shore, beautiful images!
Stunning!
amazing images
bangin night for some star photography
Hi Alyn. Fabulous vlog ! What a location this is. Loving the airglow. Lots of folks talking about the Voigtlander lately. Are you pleased with it?
Really awesome and inspiring video Alyn!
I noticed you use some kind of lens collar on your wide angle shots and also a kinda shifted tripod plate. Could you maybe pop a link to those products?
It's not available yet. It's the Silence Corner Atoll mount which was on kickstarter.
Incredible!!
14:50 incredible shot
Nice one great vid clear sky’s 🖖
Still my favorite opening logo on UA-cam!
As always --- AWESOME !!
Great shots Alyn!. Did you notice what looked to be the ISS flying just above your head (about 8:50)?
Oh yeah!
That was one of the ubiquitous airplanes that fly over the Ownes Valley. YOu can see a blinking anti collision light
Mono Lake is amazing…..when you can be upwind 😷😁
What are the rock features called by the lake? Fascinating landscape another good vlog.
I will go to a volcano region in my country Nicaragua this saturday if weather allows it. Time to test Star Adventurer 2i Pro for the first time outside my house
Absolutely awesome👍
Man. I might add this spot for tonight Astroventure. Since we’ll be at Convict Lake & Hot Creek.
(3 hours ago) KCRA is reporting smoke all the way north into Lake Tahoe. The Oak Fire in Mariposa is out of control, and doubled in size Sunday night.
@@sneakerset we didn’t go go Mono Lake. Stayed in Convict and Hot Creek. Winds blew the haze/smoke when the sun was setting.
you should try showing each individual shot when you do your image reveal.
AAWW!! STUNNING INDEED !! THANK YOU ! From U.K. (2023).
Don't know when you were at Mono Lake or the other places in the west. Now that the moon is down here in the west still can't shoot because of clouds.
Alyn how did you delete clouds? its like a coincidense that there is no clouds. Is it just the weather there just nice?
I loved your shot at 12:12. It looks as if it is exploding and coming at you.
this is what heaven looks like, breathteaking. love the video.
