Four-time Oscar®-winning filmmakers Joel and Ethan Coen (No Country for Old Men, True Grit, Fargo) write and direct Hail, Caesar!, an all-star comedy set during the latter years of Hollywood's Golden Age. Starring Josh Brolin, George Clooney, Alden Ehrenreich, Ralph Fiennes, Jonah Hill, Scarlett Johansson, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton and Channing Tatum, Hail, Caesar! follows a single day in the life of a studio fixer who is presented with plenty of problems to fix.
The comedy is produced by the Coen brothers under their Mike Zoss Productions banner alongside Working Title Films’ Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner.

Frances McDorman, Josh Brolin and Clooney in a coen brothers movie again? Can't think of one soul who wouldn't wanna watch this, looks just fucking great, as expected.
+Mr. Tulip WELL, if it wasn't a Coen's movie I probably wouldn't be very interested in this based on the trailer to be honest. But the Coen's basically shit gold so I am interested. The trailer, however, is more confusing and shows the artsy stuff out of context so it looks more like nonsense.
+Mr. Tulip Don't forget Roger Deakins also returns to do another Coen film
+one2gaming well the Coen brothers have a way of making excellent films without any typical cohesive plot structure. it's always gonna look weird at a first glance.
Kelley McTaggart Well I've never seen a film of there's where I thought it was mostly nonsense or difficult to convey meaning. But I have seen scenes before I saw a movie where I was like "what the fuck was that bullshit, lol."
But the entire movies are really next level story boards brought to life in such a charming, intellectual and lightly humorous manner.
Yeah. I'm not bashing them at all, I just think they have a very unique writing style. I remember thinking "what the fuck was that" at the end of the big Lebowski and lewyn Davis. Loved the films, but their very different and I often just find myself Really coming to appreciate them after the fact.
The bass in this trailer was really badass for some reason.
song is Go Head by Rocstrong
+Leo Lieghio Doing gods work, son.
+Q It gives that cinema feeling
+Leo Lieghio damn son !
+Jaywardhan Pawar Where'd you find this?
Fat Jonah Hill is back!
+Sean Bazemore Poor guy.
+Gerald L
Fat is a sign of wealth!
+Sean Bazemore *obese
+DJRozwell I don't know why, but I feel like he wouldn't have agreed to do that. He was so happy about his weight loss, why would he commit to a movie so hard like that? Unless he's been unable to get a role... That would make sense if he was that desperate.
I like fat Jonah way better.
Wow the actually movie is nothing like this trailer.
romaan
+AmericanSithLord why>??
+AmericanSithLord I know right, I thought each actor was going to try and help find Baird Whitlock, but no..?
SS “sheep”
Where the hell is John Goodman ?
+Batman I really hope he makes a cameo as Karl "Madman" Mundt.
+Batman I think I spotted him in the van in the trailer, kidnapper
+Batman Jonah Hill ate him.
+Batman John Goodman...can we trust him?
coz i'm....

The way Brolin runs away at 1:50 makes me laugh every time.
Eddie!
Like The Dude's car hitting the dumpster--perfect fusion of movement and nonsense.
@@andrew_4747 .....Eddaaayyyy!
Man, the 50s looks are timeless. The era's clothes and makeup make everyone look so glamourous. BTW, so hyped for this movie!
Spoiler alert! The kidnapped guy dies at the end from being stabbed 23 times!
Hahhahah history joke
HILARIOUS AND ORIGINAL
+Buenomars LOL too soon!
+Buenomars ..butchered by men he called his friends!
+Buenomars Et Tu, Buenomars?

+eaglerabbit89 its called BAIT!
+WREQUIEM "I'm tired of famous directors using well known, prestigious actors in their films"
+Sam Ogden
HOW DARE THEY!
+eaglerabbit89 Needs more John Goodman
To me, it felt a lot like a Wes Anderson film. You aren't supposed to watch it for the plot. If anything, the central ransom plot is minor and inconsequential and there are several characters who have nothing to do with the plot that get loads of screen time. In lieu of plot, the movie focuses dialogue, style, aesthetic and romantic depiction of another way of life. It isn't funny but it isn't trying to be. It was sort of like a Big Lebowski, in that the entire movie is a mess of characters and places, but minus the hilarity and plus more mid-century optimism.
I enjoyed it.
This movie is worth watching just for the idealized 1950's images. Kind of like how watching Turturo's character at teh Bowling Alley in the Big Lebowski is better than gowing to a real bowling alley. Too many movies are the oposite these days: depressing music, depressing colors, lots of people crying, shakey handheld cameras that make you seasick (why would you want to escape to a world like that). I'll have to watch it again to figure out why Lockheed Martin wanted to hire that guy to do nothing. None of the characters are as good as Michael Lerner's Hollywood executive character in Barton Fink (another Coen Bros movie). The scene where the overstuffed briefcase containing ransom money is lost in the sea bc of a yappy dog is reminiscent of the scene in Kubrick's "The Killing" where the overstuffed briefcase full of money is lost because of a yappy dog.
I would agree with films such as Bottle Rocket, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Darjeeling Limited, and the Life Aquatic. The rest of his films, not so much...
What are you talking about? the film is funny as shit.
I love this movie. People who complain about its plot would probably prefer the usual story about a spotless hero who defeats the villain. There were many memorable scenes I rewatched more than once on youtube.
In my opinion, this movie is almost as good as the Big Lebowski.
So much YES
According to the Film Theorist this has an extremely high percentage rate of winning a Oscar because it's a film about actors themselves. They just love petting that fucking ego
+FoxJupiter It's also a Coen Brothers movie, and the Coen Brothers are some of the best filmmakers working today.
James Clifford
I agree but they are hit and miss sometimes, like Jupiter Ascending or w.e.
Jupiter Ascending was the Wachowski Brothers, not the Coen Brothers. I do admit they have had some pitfalls, but they've also made some of my favorite movies of the past twenty-some years.
James Clifford
ooo.... lol my bad
+FoxJupiter Ah, but you can make great shit out of it, even criticize the game while playing it (see: Birdman).
I saw the movie last night, had a couple laughs, but when it ended. I had just one question... what?
+Rosa Medina dicen que es muy aburrida,xq??? la KGB secuestra a George Clooney??
+Rosa Medina same
+Rosa Medina Saw it earlier this evening, friday night (also premier night in Norway). Seven people in the theatre, and when the credits rolled, no one said anything :P im just as confuzed as you are
Me too. But it wasnt so bad. I had also many laughs
Ivan Gomez
I love movies based on 50s-70s, world was so beautiful back then with so less people, now there are people everywhere!
Hey, is that Jeff Lewis from The Guild in the background?
+okrajoe yup
+okrajoe ♟♞♝♜♛♚
David Cortese - Manga Chess
♙♘♗♖♕♔
For the music? It's Jamie n Commons I believe.
Caoilin O'Connor okrajoe was not asking about the music. They were asking about an actor.
I loved this movie so much. One of my favourites of that year.
Loved This Movie! Jumps comfortably into my Top 5 Coen Brothers films!
Papa Woody you are mental
Coen brothers? Okay, I'm listening... Clancy Brown? SOLD!
George always plays idiots at brother's movies =) His best roles.
Inject this movie directly into my veins.
maan, George Clooney got old....
+capoeiraike To the future!
+Elven King he doesn't look that old though..?
+Elven King Dude, he IS old.
+Elven King who cares George Clooney is very good actor and handsome, i had a chance to meet him in NY he surprised us we hangout together and we got some pics sh.st/blswU he is so polite and very kind person, i was so happyyy
+Elven King
What, were you going to ask him out on a date?
Eddie Mannix is my favorite running joke: saintly studio head, confessional junkie, never lies to his wife, firm but loyal dad to his film stable kids. Just like real studio execs😂😂😂😂
The cinematography looks absolutely gorgeous.
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!
Gimme gimme gimme!!
Sadly this movie was a disappointment. Still go watch it, but watch it with low expectations. Sadly.
+Krispy Kreme Ceja yep thought it was better
+Krispy Kreme Ceja I saw it and I loved it! I'm a big movie fanatic (especially the Golden Age) and this movie was for a niche audience and I was part of it!!
+Deebo Molina i loved it too! i guess i was part of the niche audience as well
I have a feeling that they are supposed to go back in history and kidnap the real Caesar, but screwed up and ended up with the actor that plays Caesar.
Hmm that's a great theory
+DeusJGer Except Clooney is dressed as a Roman General
Which Caesar? If they went back in time and brought Nero or Caligula, we'd be in deep shit
This is going to be George Cloony's best performance ever, I can already see it.
That scene with Jonah and Scarlett is fckking hilarious LOL
February? Why? They could have decided to participate in this year's award season with this.
+Quan Pham Yeah, weird time to release it.Maybe it`s not as good as it looks in the trailer.
+Quan Pham It's a comedy, no room for that alongside all the super serious, period drama, social commentary oscar bait that's coming out.
+YETICOPTER Birdman was a comedy and yet it won best picture.
+YETICOPTER Fargo was a comedy and yet it was nomitated in seven categories. And won best screenplay and best actress as well. And this film has one hell of a casting and it seems to be a pretty cool screenplay too.
+Ramsés Mojica Birdman wasn't a comedy. I laughed more in No country for old men.
I just might go see this. The trailer was way more fun than I expected.
Just noticed Roger Deakins for cinematography
This movie's gotta be awesome
I had really high hopes for this movie, but it was really disappointing to me. The way that it was advertised here is nothing like how the movie actually is. What we got was pretty boring and had a bunch of stories that didn't even have any relevance to what was going on. I bunch of those characters could have been cut and it wouldn't have changed anything.
+Senor Studly so the KGB kidnapped George Clooney?? trailer looks very good.
+folladordeprostis The movie was nothing like the trailer. It was horrible, and unlike any other Coen brothers films. Please don't waste your money.
Prof. Pickles but why so bad??? too slow?
folladordeprostis Very slow paced and boring. There is hardly any screen time for the actors in this movie. In fact, Jonah Hill had less than a minute of screen time. It's one of those movies you question if you should walk out on.
+folladordeprostis I loved this movie. However, if you are not some what of a film buff, you probably will not (my parents liked it, however). The references to 50's hollywood is what I loved. The movie follows a guy who is in charge of keeping hollywood stars in order.
It takes place in a 27 hour period and doesn't have a huge, extravagant storyline. That is why some people call it boring. The dialog, camera angles, and transitions are all done in a way that a 50's film would be done. These can appear kind of cheesy and is the reason some people say this is the "worst film ever made". Bottom line is, if you are a film buff, you'll probably love it. Other wise, wait for dvd.
The last scene is the best. Very natural and comedic, actually.
Funny how The Coen didn't even want to see Brolin audition for No Country for Old Men and now he's in all their movies
Looks like everyone on set is havin a good time in this musical film... My type of movie!
written fantastically and the actors were perfect, Josh Brolin brought his A game. to the people who disliked it, I suggest you forget about the trailer, wait a few months and rent it on redbox and re watch it. gurantee you'll enjoy it. it's no Big Lebowski that's for sure but it was a good flick
What is the name of the song at the beginning?
Movie of the Year here, and it's not even 2016 yet.
George cloomey, channing Tatum and Ralph fiennes? YES PLEASE
Clooney just looks like he's having fun with his roles these days.
The only Coens movie I haven't bought or seen yet. The only chance that I will one day is when I find it in a charity shop for about one euro or two. Rock on, Joel and Ethan, though, I'll be waiting for the next one.
This is going to be as good as No Country For Old Men!!!!!
The film looks stunning!! Roger Deakins doesn't get enough credit he blew me away with his camerawork on Sicario
the trailer looks interesting, the movie was not so much...
I hope some of you realize that The Coen Brothers don't edit their trailers. Each Coen film is a gem in its own way. If you expected this to be The Big Lebowski II, maybe you should just go bowling and let some stress out that way...
Me seeing Tilda Swinton "Well hello White Witch, Nice to see you again!" I've seen her in other movies but I just can't let TCON go, probably because I grew up on them. But this looks great. not unexpectedly. And the cast is insane and seriously its the coen brothers. Can't not go see it
the song is "Rumble and Sway" by Jamie N Commons
Ralph Fiennes. Ok. That's enough reasons for me to watch this.
Would That It Were So Simple
More mirthlessness
It’s funny so many of them do Wes Anderson films too. Tilda, Frances, Clooney, Scarlett, Ralph, Fisher Stevens & Michael Gambon ❤
So Scarlett Johansson is Esther Wiiliams, Channing Tatum is Gene kelly, that one kid is Audie Murphy, and George Clooney is American Carey Grant/Rex Harrison?
Love the return of Clooney the Looney! never afraid to send himself up and a smashing addition to Sonning folk ;o)
Hopefully this can stand up well next to their best work like No Country, Fargo, Big Lebowski, Barton Fink, and Blood Simple!
RAD!
Coen brothers going to knock it out of the park again
Yes, please.
All these negative comments are about the movie and nobody knows why it has 85% on Rotten Tomatoes
OK, I liked the movie but I still don't understand why it has 85%.
Really. Why?
Because 85% of the critics gave it a positive rating. Thats why.
Were those critics on something?
They were high on IQ.
It appears the critics only watched the trailer and based the ratings on it. I just rented it because of the trailer and - nothing for me there but disappointment. It will take at least four viewings of No Country For Old Men to get over it.
This movie felt incomplete, finished too quickly but very entertaining. This movie was goddamn hilarious. That exchange between the religious heads was goddamn hilarious. As a muslim, I just wish they put us there. Would've made it funnier.
Coen Brothers do pump out consistency good films, hope this one doesn't become a stain on their career
The movie has frustrating slow screenplay. Not conected stories... In many moments it was torture to watch it...
+Marijan B Exactly, If I gave it a 5/10 I might be too generous, most people in my theater left after an hour.
***** 1 hour 46 mins
Can't miss this one!
I don't know who was in charge of the trailer, but they did a stellar job. Haven't been this excited for a film in a while!
Showed stuff but not much at all! Well done for a trailer I agree!
Kidnapping and extortion, classic Coen Brothers..
I have no idea what its about, but if the Coen Bros. made it, I'm there.
This film looks fantastic, can't wait to see it!
ABOUT FUCKING TIME THE COEN BROTHERS WERE BACK
The ensemble cast and the way they present the trailer make me feel this will be a 'Burn After Reading' type movie. Not that that's bad, but hopefully it will be more substantial
Flesh May Fail is such a good band
So... another Coen brothers movie with a kidnapping plot. Not that I'm complaining, they are awesome.
It was a good movie, but not nearly as good as this trailer.
I'll watch anything the Coen's want to do.
Easily the C o e n s most underrated work.
Such an underrated movie. I actually like this one more than The Big Lebowski
Is it hard SQUEEZIN' it like that??????????? :P
OH MY GOD THIS WILL BE SO AMAZING
The best part of the film was seeing modern celebs act do old hollywood celeb stuff!
Felt like I wasted 1 hr 39 mins of my life at the end of this movie .
Yeah, well, that’s just, like, your opinion, man.
Walked out after 40mins... nothing actually happens, watch when it comes on tv/netflix if you are really hungover and just want to look at people talking to bring you back down.
If you are as pumped as I am to see this, then if you haven't already, check out "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" another comedy by the Coen brothers starring George Clooney.
The trailer gave away all the important plot points.
Looks stunning
Chances are high this is going to be superb.
This movie looks EXTREMELY boring. Am I wrong? Who has seen this and could tell me if it's boring or not?
+greezymuhfuh all one needs to do is watch the trailer. that's the movie in a nutshell. everything else is just filler. i felt stupid being seen coming out of the theater after it was over. if that tells you anything at all.
dave IN oklahoma
Haha. I went and saw Deadpool instead. Thanks though.
+greezymuhfuh deadpool is great :D
was never bored throughout the film
it's boring as fuck, I wish I had never bought those tickets, it's a pile of shit, don't watch it
+greezymuhfuh shittest movie I've ever had to sit through
Avoid this film like the plague. Nearly half the cinema walked out after a hour. Don't let the trailer fool you. It's awful.
+William E Too cerebral for some, ey?
John Carter the ratings did that for me
John Carter if you saw this film in the cinema then you'd know. All of the cinema I was in walked out after 35 minutes, it was a complete disaster
Great Cast....Will be second chosen nominee at academy 2016....
"Truth, yes!" runs off with briefcase; ROFL
Boring movie.
This movie sucked
this movie is fucking stupid. it was hard to even understand wtf going on
ok but like thanos, black widow and the late sorcerer supreme in the same movie not trying to kill each other is just magic to me
I feel so-so about the Coen Brothers, but this looks like fun.
trailer looks great but honestly worst movie i have ever seen in my life😥
+kevin frausto ign pic fits your comment
+Chris Jones yas
+kevin frausto You haven't seen many movies then.
+kevin frausto This trailer doesn't even look good to me, tbh. Usually, even crap movies can make their movie look good with a trailer. This is what is concerning me about going to see this.
I completely agree, it was awful, it ended and I didn't realized it even started, the plot was sooooo confusing, and poorly written
Wasnt a great movie
Lol the movie is absolute garbage
Nope
+ElectricNinja I agree - WORST MOVIE EVER!!!
Never cared for Scarlett. But anything with Tilda Swinton is an instant classic.
Just bought this movie for 5 bucks at 7-11 on a sunday night cause I ain't got shit else to do it better be good
Stupidest movie I have ever seen... In fact I left half way through it it was so bad. Don't even waste a $1 on it.
