  • How to create a collage masterboard? I promise you it is easy and if you know what steps to follow, your collage masterboard will come out BEAUTIFUL. This is a craft with me video where I all I know about making a collage masterboard, showing step by step how I made mine.
    My Etsy shop: www.etsy.com/uk/shop/yanavall...
    Sometimes when I journal in my junk journal I only have a few spare minutes and I don't like to create journaling cards and tags from scratch, I just want something easy and ready to use. I want to use my collage masterboard to create a bunch of journaling ephemera for my junk journal and of course I will share how to make that with you here on the channel but today we are focusing on the base, the collage masterboard which will turn into all that junk journal ephemera.
    I need this collage masterboard for my cream colour junk journal and that means pretty much all kinds of patterns and colour would work so I just grabbed the papers I enjoy most and turned them into the collage masterboard you can see in this video.
    I have got a few tips and tricks on how to make a collage masterboard and I share all that in the video, it came out a bit longer than my usual junk journal videos but you get to see the whole process from beginning to end. I though that might be helpful for beginners as well as for seasoned crafters who are curious to see how others go about making a collage masterboard.
    I am really excited to hear from you in the comments and as always, thanks for watching this one and I'll catch you in my next one!

    I love your work and your voice. It is very calming. I don't mind all the talking. Som talk too much even if it's not related to the project. TFS.

    What a beautiful collage Yana. Using 3 pieces of each of your neutral and pattern papers for the main base was a great idea, and hadn't thought about that as a balance, but you're right. We are told to do it with flowers in a vase...to have 3 or 5 flowers, rather than an even number. Thank you very much, and I am so glad that I found you.

      Thank you Ellie, this brightened up my morning! I wasn't aware this was also true for flower arranging, how interesting actually, it's another 'visual' arrangement and the principle still applies!

      So glad you enjoyed this one Sabine! I feel with collage it's so easy to make it more stressful than it needs to be because there is a million choices and papers... I turned this collage masterboard into journaling cards and tags in my next video, to give you some ideas what you could make out of yours ua-cam.com/video/RBKfF5CuN5g/v-deo.html

    I was laughing out loud reading "Your baby doesn't replace your partner" book page when it said the French believe old people and ugly people should have a sex drive. 😂 I always read pages before adding them to my projects.

    Has anyone tried making a master board with a background of book pages and color coordintaed or subject oriented top pieces so you end up with a more homogeneous product?

    Are you using paper or card stock for your base.. how do you keep it from warping ?

    • @YanaVallie
      @YanaVallie  Рік тому +1

      Hi Jean, I like using a 12x12 inch scrapbooking sheet as a base, normally a design I don't love 🤭 If you go in with dry glue it shouldn't warp. Dry glue diesn't have a great binding power and that's why I like to pass the collage through my sewing machine to keep it all in place. Hope this helps 🤗

    Too much “talking” just to fill a video I assume as this is really a “project” that just couldn’t be more simple….I’m out. Created three in this time
