Neu auf meinem Kanal: Anne-Marie Antoine als Sieglinde. Sie wurde am 17.10.1944 in Brüssel, studierte dort und sang von 1966 bis 1969 an diversen belgischen Opernhäusern. 1970 debutierte sie in Antwerpen als Elsa im "Lohengrin", danach sang sie am Theatre de la Monnaie Brüssel und an der Opera Royal de Wallonie in Liege. Sie gastierte auch an der Deutschen Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf, in Kassel, am Staatstheater Wiesbaden und an der Oper Köln. International sang sie an der Scala in Mailand, an der Wiener Staatsoper, und in Prag. Ihr Repertoire umfasst viele Wagner-Partien, wie Elsa, Sieglinde, Senta und Venus, aber sie brillierte auch als Aida, Abigaille, als Figaro-Gräfin, Santuzza, Elena in Boitos "Mefistofele", Manon in Puccinis "Manon Lescaut" u.v.a.. Berühmt war sie in den 70er Jahren für ihre Martha in d`Alberts "Tiefland", aus der ich Euch auch bald ein paar Ausschitte vorführen sollte. Jetzt erst mal ihre Sigelinde an der Seite von Jean Cox. annoncé mais après des problemes avec le directeur remplacé par Keenon
j'étais très jeune et on a pendant de années 70 "jeunes pour opéra " contestant ce directeur qui une fois a dit au radio que vous n'étiez pas une Brunhilde ... et chassé beaucoup de gens
quelques années plus tard à coté de Vermeersch -

I saw Anne Marie Antoine her debut in Antwerpen as a young guy ( the horrible opera director in those days had fired Jennie Veeninga ) - the same season she also did Aida and the folowing year she did Venus , Aida , Maddeleine de Coigny and Abigail what caused immense success
however her breakthrough was Sieglinde i think end of 1971 aside Jan Verbeeck in Antwerpen
she never got decent roles in the Monnaie only when the Antwerp or Liege opera team was a guest
Later she sang the Brunhilde aside the great Jef Vermeersch also in Antwerp
She also did Tosca and even Thais in France and a great Salome as well
She performed as Martha in Barcelona aside Bulgarian tenor Gugalov with the Antwerp opera group where she immediately got a engagement for a role
Amelia in Boccanegra and Amelia in Ballo were other roles and also Judith and Minnie
as a French speaking soprano she had to sing her roles in Dutch in Antwerp until mid 70 s
