Anytime!
I love how detailed you are. Planning on applying for MBA scholarship in 2024
Hello Fisayo. thank you for the good work, you are doing out here. Can you make a video for a recorded interview for MBA
Thank you Prissy. Please what do you mean by a recorded interview? Could you please clarify?
Thanks Fisayo, I am gonna take you back a bit. Could you share tips for getting high GRE score. Also I will like to ask why you didn’t consider Canada at all in your school selection.
Hi Oyenike, thank you for asking! I intend to do a video on preparing for the GRE soon but till then could you please check out some tips I shared on this post? instagram.com/p/CWv1EjQlLdx/?
For Canada, I just wasn’t fascinated with the idea of living there so I didn’t apply to any of their schools.
Did you use a teleprompter for this video😊? I really envy your speech coherence & intellectual prowess. Keep it up 👏🏿
Lol no I didn’t. Someone else asked me too
Thank you 🙏
Thanks for the tips, Fisayo. My question is this, say I’m working towards a January 2023 entry, is it fine to start connecting with the adcoms now? What types of questions should I ask them or conversations should I make, leading up to the actual application?
Great question Todimu. You’d first need to find out if the school offers an MBA program that begins in the Spring (which is January). Many schools in the US start their MBA programs in the Fall (which is August/September)
Once you’re sure about the January start then you can definitely begin reaching out to Adcoms now.
During the conversation you’d be introducing yourself, seeking to learn more about the program and trying to see if it’s the best place for you; in terms of your goals.
@@FisayoGracieAbbyAlrighty. Thanks Fisayo. Super helpful as always.
Thank you Fisayo. You are very eloquent and you will be a very good news presenter. I have a question. In answering a video essay question that typically lasts for 90 secs, should I still apply the STAR format?
Thanks Jane!! Yes, you can still use the STAR format. You can crunch your situation and task into one line (say 20 seconds) and then give more time for the action and results. You may not be able to say the learning from the experience because of the time and that’s totally fine.
@@FisayoGracieAbby Thank you so much for your reply. I really appreciate it
Please you should make a video for GA interview
Thanks for the suggestion. By GA, do you mean Graduate Assistantship?
Hi Fisayo
Thank you for sharing your experience.
I’d like to know your thoughts on how significant one’s work experience is and it’s effects on the result application?
It’s very significant, the school wants to be sure you’re bringing substantial knowledge to your class. They also want to ensure you’re employable after the program and many times the companies you’re recruiting to join want to see that you have some prior experience
Thank you for your response.
I however have a few follow up questions
How many years would you consider appropriate?
On research i read something about the quality and not quantity of years is what the school looks out for, is this really the reality? From your experience of course.
I’d really love to connect with you, what platform is the most easiest to do this?
Thanks again.
@@blankbyolams6206 yes it’s definitely about the quality and not just quantity. I recommend 3 years and above

do you have health related scholarships info, please share if you know some university which gives public health related subjects. thanks in advance
Hi, thank you for asking. I currently do not, but if I find anything I'll reply to this thread.
This is very insightful. Thank you. Please I earlier sent you a mail.
Okay, I’ll check and respond to you today!
Thanks. This is really helpful I am doing grade 10 and interested in the MBA i did apply and they answered on my email but I am afraid to answer them .Is it still early for me or can I start now?
Why not! Please reply them and begin the conversation. But please clarify, when you say grade 10, do you mean high school?
@@FisayoGracieAbby yes I am still in High school my mother suggested I slow down because it’s too early but since u are an expert u know better …is it okay?
@@user-xz5yi7jq1z Oh i understand better now. Yes, i suggest you wait it out till after college. Your profile will be more competitive with a degree and some work experience
@@FisayoGracieAbby Thanks appreciate it❤️
Fisayo quick question...as an international student, did you apply for OPT before you did your internship at Microsoft..Or did you just do the internship directly> please respond...thanks
Hi James, thanks for asking. As an international student I was required to apply for CPT (not OPT as that’s for post graduation work authorization) through my school. My I-20 document was also updated to reflect my internship work authorization. Hope this clarifies
@@FisayoGracieAbby Oh okay...thanks Fisayo...so CPT is different from OPT? CPT is for internships in the summer between your first and second year, while OPT is for when you graduate? am I right? This is the first time I am hearing of CPT.
@@James-hq2hw That's correct
Why I appreciate this particular video. I also have some reservations about following through with some of the things you said in this video. It typically makes one a robot to follow through with your process and takes away that freedom of expression and thought and saying the actual things. This is one thing I don't like about these structured interviews, you are expected to behave in a certain way, answers are supposed to be in a certain way. I have been in interviews where I followed these procedures and I didn't like the outcome because I discovered that the person that spoke in those interviews wasn't me but some guy structured to respond in a particular way. Interviews should provide an opportunity for people to express themselves and not appear like robots giving structured answers and asking structured questions with zero room for creativity and expression. I hope the corporate culture in the USA is entirely different from what we have in Nigeria which is what drove me into entrepreneurship where innovation, creativity and what the human mind can achieve is limitless. I will need to watch some other person's video on the same topic to see If I can get something different, if it is the same, then I might reevaluate why I want to embark on this MBA journey. I don't want to be or sound like a robot
Watching you from Ghana.....I want a MBA program in finance in Arizona university. Do I need gre or GMAT...thank
It depends. You can get a waiver if you’re eligible, you’d need to ask the school
The pitch of this intro is singing pitch o🤭
