    Thank you for your video. You did two things a lot of others do not. Firstly, you showed your actual water level relative to the felt membrane. That is very helpful to me as I am at that exact stage and as a result will be elevating my drain line ever so slightly prior to adding soil. Secondly, I really appreciate the follow up segment at the end of your growing season. It’s really nice to see actual results from a wicking bed. Thanks again.

    Somehow I luckily found your video... I watch and live for my favorite woodworkers and craftsmen yet you built the best garden bed that I’ve seen so far 👏🏽 You came up with a brilliant way to not only properly and efficiently grow a veggi garden without wasting water, you more importantly (to me) solved a very common issue when building outdoor structures of any kind with wood and especially wood built garden beds and that is limiting the need to rebuild or repair every few years once the wood rots! I think this is brilliant and will be sharing with everyone ik who gardens because this is a huge money saver initially but also long term as well considering limited wood contact to water 👍🏼👍🏼 Thank you for sharing the full build

Then put the containers and frames on the pallets. Am now moving on to the wood trim. I bought used fencing panels for this (5 feet of 6 foot panels for $5 each). So when you buy a frozen pack from the local servo of fish shop what do you do next be frost some? Do you treat the pilchards in any way such as salt them. Do you break off a chunk to go fishing with and leave the rest of the block frozen and in the freezer.
    Have learn heaps Roger and thanks for the great tips.

    • @RogerOsborneFishing
      @RogerOsborneFishing  3 роки тому

      Hi Steven, just saw your comment. If you drop a block of pilchards several times on to a concrete floor or driveway they will begin to break apart. I generally don't take a whole block with me but just what I think that I need for that particular fishing trip. That way your bait is kept in best condition. Cheers.

      you need a column of soil that goes to the bottom of the reservoir otherwise you loose the wicking effect after the water drops below the soil contact. Also the roots do not wick the water up it is the medium just like a piece of T shirt will wick up water. Please look at other that are doing this. If you do this way you will be disappointed
