Would have loved to had that JD 2 row 290 planter needs the markers though. My dad had one of those and he did a lot of planting with it. My brother told me before he died that the 290 was the best planter JD ever made. I saw a cyclo planter one time and asked the owner how it planted and he said great.
My guess was it is the 826 that you looked at. He came down in price. Your hints all pointed to that direction. However, if nobody guessed it and it's close, it must either be an 856, or a different 826 or maybe a 1026 Hydro
Our 510 drill had a rear seeder and fertilizer hopper under the white lid. My 454 and 484 diesels had underslung mufflers and never had any issues other than getting fumigated hooking up behind while running. Our 1086 had all it could handle up here with a 7 tooth Glencoe disk chisel in the fall.
Nice bunch of equipment. I've got a 400 cyclone and it does a good job. The 800's and newer are better but the old ones still work. Can't wait to see what you got.
I have a 4610 series 2 North American version love that tractor it was my great grandfathers and it sat in a barn for 15 years non-used and I revived it with new battery and new fuel it means a lot to me
A 856, 826 or 806 would do fine with that 5 tooth chisel. So you must have got something around that size. It will take more than 10 hp per tooth to pull that 5 tooth unless your just going to scrape the top a little.

Unless your doing over ten acres an old steel wheel drill with a trip lift is good enough. We had the John Deere Van Brunt drill Wood boxes and cast iron gears. Remember the 290 John Deere planter. We still had the check row equipment on it but I couldn't figure out how to set it up because we didn't have square fields. It was a pain in the butt if you have a leak in the tire and need to change it out. I don't know if you would buy a tractor just because it had good tires but that 826 is my bet.

When I saw that New Holland portable hay elevator laying there in the grass I wanted to throw up. We had one of them So ungodly heavy and trying to drag the thing around I don't miss those days. The Ford "foot cooker" underslung muffler was also a feature of the Ferguson TO20 and TO30. I remember both Senator Sasser and former MLB catcher Mackie "the hacker" Sasser. BTW a lot of nice stuff there. Looks like people might be a hurting for cash so they bring in good stuff. Too bad the 4440's are starting to look like a lot of 4020"s....totally worm out. New acquisition huh? We know that you always wanted a Ford So what did you get TW5? TW25? Or perhaps one of those Versatile panted and badged Ford blue? Yeah, that sounds about right.

We use a 4850 JD and a 4960 JD both excellent tractors. Any of the JD in the 50 series are strong tractors

We bought a new 806 with a IH model 560? 6-16 plow . Chisel plow 10 HP per shank 3" twisted concave pulls fine .

If your questioning a 4 bottom 16 my guess is no more than a 966. We pull a 145 3x 18 plow with a 766, ot was all she wanted.
I pull IH 700 4x18 with 786. My 706 has pulled the same plow
