I agree with your final statement. The nature of stealth is so insanely strong that it should never be faster than 100% movement speed. They understood this back in classic and even with them moving at like 60% movement speed (or something like that) it was still incredibly strong. I'm not saying nerf if back to that but it should be capped.
Speed in stealth literally doesnt affect arena. The only thing you would achieve by capping speed in stealth is a worse feeling class for every rogue player. What was the last time you said to yourself "In Arena" damn rogues are so op they are too fast in stealth! If you play the game probably never because no one thinks this is an issue.
@suficationz4978 Back in WoD rogues had Burst of Speed, which was +100% movement speed on a 6 second CD. That was the last true OP mobility to break arena. Rogues moved at 100% mount speed in and out of combat all throughout WoD, which meant even a Druid couldn't outrun them in travel form.

True. Zug zug classes may die fast but they are invaluable at the front line. If you have a team that has 2 warriors, and the other team has only ranged specs, the team with the warriors will win every big fight because zug zugs are really good at initiating and disrupting before going down.

I don't know about solo play... Probably rogue... But I believe the warrior is no doubt the best pvp pick for group pvp... Frost mage being right up with them
The issue is they have given classes too much stuff in an effort to make them viable in mythic plus and raiding otherwise classes dont get taken for things. This always has and always will detriment the quality of pvp.

The best class for a very bad player like me is my Paladin. Not because it is good, but mainly because it is the one I have been playing for 14 years. I may not be very talented but I know my class!
You cannot pet passive in bgs on demo, that does nothing, you still get stuck in combat forever, somtimes you have to run across whole map because you cannot get out of combat. Again, Pet Passive Does Nothing because your imps don't follow main pet target or respond whatsoever to passive or any pet settings or macro commands, they are just like a dot, they continue attacking whatever they were summoned to attack with hand of guldan. Also, even imploding them does not get you out of combat sometimes... It's just something that has been broken for a very long time and makes demo almost completely unreliable in bgs for anything but base sitting all game.
Today i killed 2 rogues both at the same time witn my devoker 1800+ lobby. That is before current patch which is on upgrade right now. Of course cowards play rogue so does Bm Hunter and everyone who uses pets to do their jobs. No self-respecting man will play any of these classes. Hiding behind a pets or ambushing your opponent by being stealthy and stabbing your opponent in the back simply determines whether you're a man's man or a cowardly miss. The saying goes: Look at what class he plays and you will understand how much of a man he is. This is of course my personal opinion, I don't want to offend anyone. It is possible that my opinion is such because I am from the old generation. We define men by what they do.

Unpopular take, but I think it was a mistake to focus on 3v3 death match for PvP class balancing. In Classic the classes weren't balanced individually and felt more rock-paper-scissors, but the emphasis was on larger scale/group PvP, and IMO it felt way more wholistic and healthier for an MMO
In classic, classes werent balanced at all 😂. The game should be balanced around the gamemode where specs need to utilize their entire toolkit to succeed. Bgs do not fit this criteria.

Shaman class before TWW was almost* ! Ok . Whit new WoW came out Shaman class was ruined, destroyed and even Nerfed. Dead Knight becomes the same thing, ruined and nerfed to the ground. Even can be seen so Obviously unplayable classes, they still need a Buffs / for shaman Elemental Overload mastery /hero talents for Lighting or Fire builds ( so simple), Enhance ( hero talents for 2-hand weapon or dual-wild weapons ) Restoration ( single or raid healing builds) , Dead Knight ( Frost /hero talents 2-hand weapon or dual-wild)Unholy ( pets(horses)build or single target (Queen's Vampiric Strike) . Make sure you tried these classes with their different hero talents/builds and other classes(they seem to be super ok, they are Gladiators )......p.s. buddy an lil* advice from a "lamer" :) if you comment or react , argument must be on demand .... Just disable some of the nodes for a bit longer after game starts, that should take care of it.

Having stealth/spamable cc/immunity/high burst is always strong in pvp, thus rogue mage warlock and druid are 100% in top 5 to me. 5th imo is paladin.

Lock doesn't suck in 2v2. It's just not the most meta atm. It loses to meta but can beat anything else normally
2v2 is bad, not serious, and only for capping, you can't have any semblance of balance without a 3rd spec on each team
