Tata even took over tetley tea and there you have Tata tetley.! Taj Mumbai was the first hotel in India to have electricity and it was converted into a 600 bed hospital during world war 1.

Tatas influenced most of the pre-independence business laws in India. When the Brits say that they gave colonies railways, it was actually Tata steel. Same goes for weapons and ammunition used during the world wars.
TCS runs most government websites in India including irctc. So, if a website goes down, you know who to blame :P
ONGC gives its employees a lot of perks. The most fun ones? You can get laptop (upto 55k), mobile, furniture(upto 70k) (so what?). You can replace them regularly! Plus, buying a lappy, gets you 12k worth of broadband perks as well!

Hey whacko, really enjoy your videos! It would be nice to see a comparison of India's various industries to that of the the world - e.g. our oil and gas companies in comparison to the world, our telecom industry, users of it, and other fun facts.

They are still far behind others. For example, in the Fortune 500, there are 217 American, 199 Chinese and only 4 Indian companies. Alibaba is not the biggest company in China but its sales revenue was $550 billion in 2016 and no Indian company comes close to it. The biggest company in the world is ICBC, a Chinese bank, with $3.6 trillion in assets. The video mentioned about an Indian company with $300 billion in assets but that is still 8% of the assets of ICBC. 4 of the 10 largest internet companies in the world are from China. India prides itself on its IT industry but do you know that the IT sector of China is 20 times the size of India's IT industry? China Mobile industry is the biggest telecom in the world with 860 million subscribers and market capitalization of $240 billion.

There is one mistake with showing Worth of Indian company in terms of US$. let me explain.
1$=67₹. that is the current exchange value of Indian Currency. So if a company in India is worth 67billion₹. then it can be said that its value is 1billion $. That's where we are wrong. These companies are based in India not in US. Actually when we go with purchasing power of ₹. it is currently 1$=9.4₹. e.g. cost of 1 ltr of petrol/gas in US is above 4$ But in India it is around 65₹.which is less than 1$ . In this example 1$=16₹. We are talking about what we can do with 66billion ₹ in India. The same what we can do with 4billion US$ in terms of costs of petrol. Same is with every consumable and non-consummable items in both countries. And when averaged with all items it comes out to 1$=9.4₹. So in reality when Indian company is shown in value in terms of $. that company is actually 6.8 times bigger. SBI and LIC both have assets worth 300 billion$. So actually they are worth 2.4 trillion $ both if they have been US based. and would have been 2 largest companies of world by assets. But same is the story of every country in terms of exchange. But where Indian companies win is that the difference between actual value of ₹ and exchange value of ₹ there is more that 670%. difference. Which is 500% more that next currency in the list I.e. Russian ruble.
