Dude that Pearl kit sounds so good! Glad you have the bigger studio room now and don't have to use a compact kit. Those XSR cymbals are much better than I expected too! I came close to buying that same Tascam interface last year as an upgrade from a 4-channel Behringer, but then I found Focusrite's eBay page and saw they had a bunch of New In Box 2nd gen interfaces priced super nice. I was lucky enough to get an 18i20 for about the same price as that Tascam, but it seems to be sold out now (some of the smaller ones are still available).
The guitar inputs will work because they still actually do have preamps, just are 1/4". The others will give you something depending on the mic, but it will be pretty low. You can try cranking up the inputs in the software mixer.
nice video, bro! Shout out from Brazil. Could you please explain how do you use your earphones as playback? do you use it in the Tascam interface or in your computer ? whichever it is, please explain how you do it. Thanks in advance ! Best regards
yes, use the headphone output on the Tascam. If you haven't already, download the Tascam US-16x08 settings panel tascam.com/us/product/us-16x08/download
Hí! Please enlighten me about something: is the tascam usb class compliant? I mean, can you use it with the generic drivers in windows 10, without additional software? Thanks for the video!
yoooooo justin ! Long time no see. I was thinking of buying this audio interface....but you know i am kind of saving for a cowbell and china . Great stuff you got there bro. I have question though ? How have you mounted that 14 inch China ? Is it a tom holder/cymbal holder (boom arm included)/ extension clamp ? I was wondering if I one could use that extension clamp and add a cowbell (instead of China cymbal) ? There are a lot of videos out there talking about how to attach multiple accessories /cymbals to your kit but they all kind of confusing . At least for me . Could you like do a rig rundown on how to stack multiple cymbals and accessories? Cheers from Mumbai(India)!
great video bro, thanks for sharing... just got the tascam interface excited for it to arrive
Awesome!

No, you will need to install he tascam software
Does this interface still work with windows 11? Looking to pick one up cause I have 7 mics but my current interface only has 4 xlr inputs.
Yeah, works great I still use it all the time!
