I'm having a bad time reinstalling my smoke alarm. For some reason it will not screw in. I'm trying not to break anything. It's anchor is mounted on the ceiling. The last time I changed the battery I didn't have any trouble reinstalling it. 🤬
What brand/model is the one that you are showing us? It's nice and streamlined looking. Most look so nasty.
It does look nice, I agree. I believe this one is a First Alert.

Do you place it on a stud or will it hold on the wall ? Thanks 👍
With a decent drywall anchor, they stay on the wall just fine. If there's a stud nearby, that's a good bonus.
