- I’ll just say this right away, yes, Diego is busted as fuck to literally no-ones surprise. This is the culmination of a total of 3 hours in the lab at max, and that’s because this character is legit braindead too, so that’s cool. I also gotta be honest, he’s boring as hell! I’ll still play him for a bit though, because he is pretty fun when you can do shit like this, I just think his actual kit is kinda boring and braindead.
Koichi assist let’s you get resets with 1.5 bar, and the opponent can’t jump out of them either because 3freeze even if you mess up, but also you’re never getting to that point in a real game anyways so… yeah. The final reset is not optimal whatsoever, and can def be pushed way further, I just didn’t want to keep dropping this ffs, so I didn’t reroute it, but it’s possible to get legit 1K after timestop so who fuckin knows what’s possible on this character. This is what I reap and sow however, I present, the triple time stop combo (it was easy).

I love it but it’s a little egregious on Diego
Damn, and i felt smart just for extending a little bit the basic combo and adding some moves for a 23% combo

This is just an assumption, but upon trying out this character, I find him extremely smooth to play compared to the rest of the character. Not by insane damage, but because a lot of his moves tend to leave the opponents not flying too far and staggered, leaving them ABLED to be attacked again. As a noob player, I don't know how to combo well and tend to not do much damage, before the enemy do the falling animation, giving them invincibility. Most of THE WORLD Diego's kit tends to end with opponent not falling into said invincibility animation, allowing for you to continue comboing them
He has a pretty basic combo structure for sure, and he definitely has a lot of frame traps and tech traps. Already found like 3 framekills lol
The cinematic taunt at the end is truly the best after such an amazing combo. Do you think you could also fit a taunt in the first time stop, or would that mess anything up?
You could probably throw a taunt combo somewhere in here, maybe in the last reset to get GHA off with more in-depth routing, but that’s too hard for me to want to route into the end of a 2 minute combo lmao

Corpse parts don’t do anything for his combos unfortunately, they just give him passive buffs that don’t really do anything tbh LOL

Makoto was trying it, and the verdict was that it mostly should be use at the end of a round if you really need to armor tank something to kill. Which is to say, there’s not much point since you pretty much 2 touch the whole roster as Diego, or TOD for free with TS

I think they’re cool, but I don’t really like that character too much. Stapler and Howie and a couple other people in the ASBR discords post a lot of sauce on Fucci though, so you could probably check some out there, I doubt I could do better
