Christian Hanson: Son of Slap Shot

March 31, 2009 -- The Toronto Maple Leafs signed centre Christian Hanson to a two-year entry level contract. Hanson, 23, recently finished his four-year career at the University of Notre Dame, posting 31 points in 37 games this season with the Fighting Irish.

The other 2 Hanson brothers I the movie were actually brothers. Their last name is Carlson. They have a third brother who was unable to make the movie. That is how Hanson got in as he looked like the real brothers.

Slap Shot was on TV back in the day. The 70's was a wild time and television reflected the era. As an elementary student I saw Badlands, Out Of The Blue, Easy Rider and a number of movies rated R that would be off limits today for network TV.
