I've trying to do scan with the maximum possible quality regarding the mesh. What I need is the maximum raw number of vertices/faces in the mesh. I've twaking the options for probabilistic planes or triangle, but I've found no information either in the videos or the documentation. How can I get the maximum raw mesh output?
Auto masking is included, and shown in this video. Import masks is included and shown in this video. Not sure what you mean by "control points", capture markers maybe? This isn't done in software, but at photo time, yes it is supported, just not shown in these videos yet. Disable pictures for texturing is not supported, if you mean individual ones? If you want none, then you can just edit the material afterwards.
The mesh reconstruction step is when Sampler processes the point cloud into a 3D mesh. This is after you have set the bounding box for the point cloud.
In a previous video they turned the object upside down. With the auto masking the two scans should align if enough points overlap for the software to make that intelligent decision.
6,000. This is a hard limit which for me is a bit disappointing as professionals use professional gear and want to push the quality bar. Although I wish I had a Z9, I have a Z6 24MP so 6,000/24=250. I took 270 photos, so I left out 20, it still didn't take, so I did 240 photos and it proceeded to process. so if your camera is 45MP or higher your every shot needs to count because 6,000/45=133 (rounding down). But I wonder if cropping my images (to my subject) if that would save on MPs and if a non-uniform aspic ratio would be acceptable so larger scans are possible with this strange limit. I also find it strange that 8K is not available as a resolution but is limited to 4K. I guess you would need to do pre-planning of 4 separate scans and align them to get closer to an 8K photoscanned texture.
Tell us more about export settings. Max Texture export size (4k or 8k or 16k). There is support for UDIM? Anything similar to control points? Happy to hear that for your purposes it work better than software with years of experience behind, but i have strong doubt atm.
Lightroom needs a Background Masking feature for multiple photos. Its annoying to background mask every image seperately. Especially when Working with 500 or more pictures.
@@ablatif89 There's no magic solution here.. you probably need to take better photos, with more overlap. If that fails, then maybe your subject is too even and uniform, and it can not detect overlap. You might want to draw little unique markings on your object to help the tracking.
When I create a new project, the program closes!😠

This is one of the best tutorials for Substance I've seen so far! Thank you for being so detailed!
More question.
What about extra features like auto picture masking, import masks, control points, disable pictures for texturing.

what does it mean when in the 'mesh reconstruction' step, I didn't see any mesh...
The mesh reconstruction step is when Sampler processes the point cloud into a 3D mesh. This is after you have set the bounding box for the point cloud.
Q: what max size output for textures will be in new Sampler? Still limited to 4k? What about UDIM?
Still only 4K.
I don't seem to have a "Mesh Reconstruction" phase, did they get rid of this?
Once I press Add to project I can't seem to add a new version again?
Is there offline processing?
Yes, the processing is offline. There is no cloud processing.
Wait! Where's the coverage of shooting glass? I'm here for the glass!! You said there would be glass!! It is my obsession and nemesis 😉
Coming at a later point, no ETA yet though.
like metal, you would need to apply some kind of evaporative spray for photoscanning.
Can you export masks separately?
Well not "export" with a button, but at 3:32 you can see how to get the files and store them elsewhere.
Hi, how did you do the bottom part of the object? thanks!
Please watch the full series, it's all explained: ua-cam.com/video/f8iCtZ3Gmzs/v-deo.html

There is pixel limit in data import

is 2022 on steam going to get this update like painter did with the baking room?
This update will be available for Sampler 2023.
@@Substance3D when is that releasing on steam?

good bye agisoft. this is so much faster and more accurate.

**Dataset limitations
Windows: Your dataset has be smaller than 6G pixels (6 000 000 000 pixels) in total. It represents 500 photos of 12M pixels**

@@autodriv3r405 hello there. Did you tried subject masking synchronization lately? :)
How did you manage to take pictures under the object ? 😮
