This is a major German festival. And Germany has always been the most supportive countries for DM. They have probably the largest following there. I remember that MTV broadcast this live. Placebo and Franz Ferdinand were the support. But when DM came on stage it was clear the fans are there because of them.
How could anyone forget Alan Wilder!! I adore him, and have for 40 years!! I will never forget him. I miss him so much. DM needs him, but I respect the fact that he has left music but it seems like such a shame for such a wonderful and talented person not to share their creativity anymore. I hope whatever he is doing, he is happy.
Mega geil, aber hier wurde getrickst, hier wurde aus dem Konzert "Live in Birmingham 1986", was auf einigen Singles aufgeteilt zu finden ist, die Tonaufnahme von "A Question Of Time" einfach über diese hier gelegt... ps: man hört es dann auch am Ende bei seinen Rufen, dass da unterschiedliche Tonfrequenzen auftreten :) mich würde mal die unbearbeitete Variante interessieren
A few years later to reply but this isn't really pro shot video what it is, is the feed from the video screen at the concert hence no long shots or crowd shots just what is being filmed by crew for the video screen, I know because I was there
@@garypayne4284 Thanks for clarifying. I hadn't noticed the lack of long shots but now it makes sense. Also, this may be a silly question, but could you confirm that this is a copy? It's just that the footage doesn't look 'old' like typical VHS but more soft/hazy. I'm glad to see a full concert from this era, but it would be amazing to see it in better quality. If it's a copy then I'm really curious about the original tape, assuming it still exists. (Unlike some other tours, there are no clips on DMs official archive site).
@@blueroses7935 This tape is as high quality it can be. VHS tapes age quite well, and are low resolution (335x576) this is the best we can get probably.
Yeah, the quality doesn't look that good, especially since I've just cone here from the HD recording of the Devotional Tour, but it's still WAY better than what we have from the World Violation Tour, of which there is practically 0 professional footage and the quality is dog.

On this day (25 April) 1986 I saw them in Gothenburg, Sweden. The hysteria was immense. 😄👍😄
