Thank for your intro. My "Multi Ceff" fault was E3 also. Thought it was the battery at first as battery volt was only 2V. After seen your video found that the thermostat sensor/ switch (04Nos flexible wires) had been damaged from the lid spring end. (Suspected scrubbing)
Thank you so much for this explanation. I had an E3 code, and I found a break in the top thermostat wire just by the hinge. I patched in a short length of cable which fixed the problem.
