Going in January and bringing crisp Canadian 20 dollar bills and American ones for tipping off resort. I will buy coins from the resort staff, 2:55 use them for tipping and at the end of the trip buy them back..
I read somewhere that tipping in USD and Canadian dollar is acceptable. Smaller denominations like 1 or 2 dollar in a cafe. What about restaurants - what would be a decent tip either in CAD or USD. Also, for hotel staff
Excellent info. Good to know. Wasn't sure about CAD. Thanks!!!
Thank you mate. Good job!

If they beg for a tip they arent getting one, dont expect a tip for lousy service
What happens if you don't tip in cuba?
You're considered an asshole. And no one will like you. And no one will want to help you.
why is it better to tip in Canadian or American. They have to exchange it to cup anyways.
No they don't. They can use it as is. Their currency is, pardon my french, crap. Better for them to have foreign currency.
I will bring coins! $1 usa cost $1.30 cnd. If cubans don't like it... but I will have $5 bills to help them convert 👍
