Acrylic pouring: Fluid art
My pouring medium used for my current work is a pre mix of 70% “Mont marte clear craft glue and 30% warm water, (most pva glues can be made up with same ratios to make a pouring medium), I add my pouring medium to my paint slowly until I achieve the consistency of pouring cream, approximately 50/50 more pm if needed.
My paint brands mostly used are the Mont marte studio acrylics, dimensions, or pouring paints, Boom Gel stain.
When iv mixed my paints I add 2-4 drops maximum of Helmar silicone, also Australian made, I stir in well.
I always like to mix up my paints and add silicone the day before I’m going to paint, and cover with a damp cloth, as I have found I have much better results.

I love your son’s embellishments. We share the privilege of having a talented artistic son. My son has just turned 60. When he was at intermediate school he held what these days would be called a symposium, I guess. He did a lot of Lino cuts, printed them off, and raised money for his school for something they needed. The school had only opened the year he started intermediate, so they needed LOTS.

I love this color combo, Gilly. It's SO pleasing to the eye. Even with the thicker line of chocolate, the flesh color, gold and white REALLY make those shades of turquoise pop on the canvas. You have perfected the balloon kisses/rolls and it always amazes me how the paint reacts to the pressure and movement....the effects are nothing short of stunning. You client will be SO pleased with this when you do the larger canvas. Scott's embellishments on your art work make for absolutely stunning pieces....he is SO talented, just like Mum! Love the colors together. Thank you for all the tips and techniques that you work so hard to teach all of us. It is marvelous that your son is collaborating with you. My grandson was watching this with me and he was very mesmerized and now off we go to the art room to play with paint. He is only 6 and is showing a great deal of interest and desire in the art world. He is already an accomplished bead artist doing several intricate stitches with beads, but now the painting bug has bitten. Thank you for all that you do.
