Born in '75 and had a huge Star Wars collection as a kid in addition to a lot of the other toys featured here, all of which I gave away as a younger adult. Not counting ex-wives, I don't collect anything these days but love watching these videos as they really take me back to simpler times. They also remind me how lucky I was. Keep up the good work!! Ps. "I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass... And I'm all outta bubblegum"
@@ToyOverdose Went in mate and got some bits! Was great to chat to him and what an amazing store, thanks for showcasing and will be keeping an eye on the channel! :)
Had to go into town last week and had a quick browse through the vintage toy shop and just had to have him. Captain Scarlet and asked the shop owner to put him aside till next month. Can't wait to pick him up. For £20 unboxed a bargain
Seeing all them MASK toys gave me childhood flashbacks . Shame you didn't get to Havant that's about 8 miles from Portsmouth as there is small a retro toy shop stand in the Meridian Centre now , sells lots of different 80s toys.
Ahaha yeah we went to see him! He had some amazing stuff, he said he may be opening a shop there soon so we will be back! Thanks for watching! Appreciate it
@@GE-bc7ed There aren't many around like the Vintage Toy Monster. We are compiling a list of the best ones, I'm sure there must be a couple good ones in Scotland. Stay tuned!
I owned that A-Team bad guy with the orange shirt at 6:21 when I was younger - the only A-Team figure I had! Think it may still be around somewhere, Mum recently brought over some boxes of stuff from my old room.
Vinyl i meant, sorry im not the best at typeing 😊 but great videos, judge dread 2000 ad are decent comics, i have a few pistols comics, pan horror were big in there day.
Extreme Dinosaurs is the line thats similar to Street Sharks you were looking at 😁 also finally youtube recommends a decent video haha shop looks ace I'm up in Scotland would love to make a trip
Damn! I would love to go there, alas I can not. You see, I hail from the shores of a city nearby and despite my daughters mum coming from Pompey and my daughter having been born in Southampton etc, my skin starts to blister and burn if I try to enter Portsmouth 😢 Thanks to you, people like me can still see these marvels.
In the 60s I had the Batmobile which fired little yellow missiles and the James Bond Aston Martin with bulletproof rear shield and the pop out machine guns. Long gone now 😢
There used to be a place in Lee-On-Solent, near the high street. Is that still there do you know? It's close to where you are in this video. All the best to you.
How far back do these toys go; 1950s? 60s? The shop looks amazing, although I am unfamiliar with most of the things shown on camera here. Anything Marvel is outside of my knowledge base. I wouldn't know a Clark Kent from a Spiderman. Star Wars toys were not a thing when I was a child. Sure, there were rumours of such toys, but we never saw any. Anything animated from the 1980s onward was not made for me. Even so, I could spend a whole day in a shop like this. I must go back to the place where I grew up and visit this shop in Pompey. Excellent stuff. Cheers.
If I had my own vintage toy store, any and all wrestling stuff would be banned😂. It would be filled with original Star Wars stuff, Japanese Transformers, original Japanese Kinnikuman and Dr. Slump and similar stuff, along with all the toys we wanted for Christmas in the 70s and early 80s. Lots of Hot Wheels/Matchbox, robots, games, all the good stuff! I just wish we had money when I was a kid so I could have had all the Star Wars figures. At least I had Boba Fett and a Darth Vader watch…
Can someone tell me what the toys at 08:15 are please. He said visionaries but wondered if he meant something else. Used to have one of those. Sure you could pull it out of the cloak it came in and it had like a skeleton hologram on them. That shop is like a full on nostalgic trip I love it
8 years ago ish I went to Birmingham U.K. Comic Con and a Slimer 👻 was available to buy almost the correct size latex and almost solid for £500 looked 99% real amd felt like soft rubber . I’ve seen him again for sale £1800 I’ve spent the last 8 years regretting not buying Him. And there I see one in that window . Maybe not the same made but the same size for sure .
Would love to vist, i collected star wars figures back in the day still love the movies, i liked hammerhead figure, xthey made 12 figures at paltoy coalville im from leicestershire myself, i had lightsaber, chewbacca gun, lots more sold them, now i collect vinyls they will not be sold. Cheers guys.
