I think it's easy for a lot of people to generalize gay people, gay people included, for a variety of reasons. I'm gay and never faced any "bullshit" from other gay people in the sense that it made me generalize about all gay people. Remember that a lot of gay men had upbringings where lying was something they learned to do to survive, in a society where they say lying is wrong..we had to lie about our true selves..which is never good. Also, stigma and bullying teaches some people to never really trust others, which is where you may be getting the idea that gay people don't treat other gay people nicely. I'm kind of tired of this argument. We have been getting it together. We have a long way to go but the larger society, the hateful, heterosexist, homophobic society that we live in are solely responsible for the state of the gay community. I know that if it was different this video would have never been made.
