Slightly disagree with the message of this video. While pushing through a cold is okay sometimes. Go, go, go isn't always the best way, especially if you have a contagious illness (influenza etc.) drink lots of fluids and rest that way you aren't spreading the illness to others and prevents one from getting sicker.

I think you've both kind of got it half right. I think when you're in the thick of your illness, rest is essential. Don't forget that your body heals during sleep, and more often than not, just taking time to rest, even if it's just a day, is so beneficial you will actively wake up feeling so much better. Then when you're over the hump and coming to the tail end of the sickness getting on with your normal routine is great for making you feel like yourself again and the movement and fresh air of going out and about definitely helps relieve the remaining symptoms. The most important thing is just to listen to your body. If your body is screaming at you to rest, please just go ahead and rest. If you're okay to carry on, then by all means, carry on.

Today I visited someone to go see their newborn, got there to find out that their middle child got the cold. I had to keep her busy for a while so her mommy can rest and so that she won't wake the baby. Im fearful that I might have caught the cold because unfortunately I'm one of those who catches a cold easily.I had no choice but to keep her busy and occupied 😢.
My God the little ones are wept out, Reu bear didn't even move 😢😢😢😢😢. Wishing you all healing and hope you enjoy the wedding. Heze is such a strong boy,to fight the cold so hard and have such a positive mindset to convince his body that it isn't ill, wow!👏👏

At least you don’t have the childhood illnesses my family had in the 1950’s: measles, mumps, chicken pox. With 6 kids, my mom expected the domino effect with all of us lined up on the guest room floor. Poor woman once got us well, tried to relax in the tub and discovered she had both mumps and measles. Get well soon!

I hope everyone gets better soon and. I appreciate y'all for sharing your life with us. I suffer from Asthma , Hay Fever and Sinus. Drinking some tea with a little lemon juice. Will help you feel better when you have a cold. I take cold and flu relief medicine. ( If you have asthma check with your. Doctor before you take any over counter medicine for your cold ). Rub your chest with Vapor Rub. If you suffer from sinus spray. That salt saline solution up your nose. You hold one nostril spray it then visa versa. If you have hay fever you have to take a none drowsy Benadryl or something similar to Benadryl. Liquid or Pills form which ever one you prefer.
