Thank you for this tutorial. I made several of these as holiday gifts for my coworkers and they came out really good. I cut a few of those string type necklaces that you find at the dollar store and Walmart (they come in purple, gold, green, red) to fit the base rim. Looks really nice. I had another thought as well -- though I didn't try it yet. I thought about spray painting a large size starbucks coffee lid (gold or different color) to use as an additional base for the wine glass. I did a mock of it without gluing it and it looked nice. I only had one lid and didn't want to go out to get more -- but definitely something I may try in the future. Thanks again.
This is a great idea; I can see it being used for any holiday or season. There seem to be miniatures available for all seasons nowadays! Would look nice to have 3 or so of them for Thanksgiving or fall as a table centerpiece. Thanks for sharing how to make these; I admire your all of your work!
I made these for my older sister for Xmas. I got balloon wine glasses from .99 cent store. They were much bigger and wider then the dollar tree small wine glasses. I put fake roses in hers with a beautiful fake big butterfly I got from dollar tree . The roses were sitting ontop of fake moss and they were so beautiful looking. I superglued Mines to a round base thingy that looked like a coaster almost. It turned out so perfect . I love these christmas ones. Very cute ! I also bought her the fake candles that look like real flame from Walmart to go on top
OMG Stacy I love so LOVE these...oh for sure it would make a great gift oh Merry Christmas to ME this something that I definitely would want and the sort of decoration that is right up my alley....great choices for your sets and your turned out spectacular. Oh what fun video and girl you so did a super outstanding creative job. YOU so ROCK!! Joan Smith
Without a doubt the best Christmas dec video I have seen to date so quick and one my parents would love for the mantelpiece and I may even make our house one too thank you for sharing xxxxxx
Hi. I have been watching DIY videos for 2 days. I thought your idea was very lovely and adorable. I have a friend that likes wine. I got her a wine set and I am going to make a globe with a little holiday card. Thank you so much for sharing. Happy Holidays : ) and P.S..I lived up in Alaska...stay warm!
Love this! And great idea with the cardboard at the rim of the glass. I have the shakes as I call it. Mine is from having spinal meningitis when I was 10 months old.
Stacy, I shake too😊 it sure makes it hard to craft, or put on make up. This is so cute!🤗🤗 I wish I could find small figurines like trees, deer, snowmen, little people, houses etc. Maybe Hobby Lobby would have them?? Thank you for sharing this with all of us. 🎅🏻👍😉🤗
Check Dollar Tree first. They have bags of animals I know for sure because I bought 2 bags for the deer. Spray painted them. Walmart and Target will have miniatures because of Christmas Village. I hooe thst helps. Check out my channel too. I would love to have you. Hugs-Rebecca
Hi Selenia, LOL @ the heater. I did have it on, but my room is in the front of the house, which is the coldest side. It is hot now, about 70 or so Hugs, Stacy
Stace this is so cute and really inexpensive too. You can get lots of really neat things at the dollar store. Stace don't you guys have a heater in your house...it must be cold in there without heat. I can't take the dampness in our house so we have the heater on all the time. It cycles on and off as needed but I can't deal with the dampness as I have arthritis. and I'm next to the ocean and in the winter it's really cold and damp. So I feel for you in your cols house.
HI Pat, I love this idea and everything is really cheap for the supplies. Yes, we have a heater :) I didn't turn it on in the morning because it was going to be warm later that day Hugs, Stacy
What if you used the double sided tape it that thin industrial red tape or even a thin tape runner for glass rim?? Wonder if that would work?? If you do get hot glue on the outside of rim just put more on it and add some snow or glitter. That would look good❣️👍
9: 54 I don’t have a steady hand either 😬 Maybe on the next one’s rim you could put hot glue and some E6000 on a paper plate (or something flat). Then scoop glue with a popsicle stick and place on the rim.
Stacy Williams I am from Ireland so I got the glue in pound world it would be different thanks for texting happy Christmas my friends live them to thanks
You can also remove the paper from the bottom of glass with Goo Gone spray it let it sit for about 30 minutes. it comes off easy I do this lots of times
I love the glasses you made.I’m definitely gonna make it,but I do have a question? I was working with my glue gun and the glue would not stick is there a different in glue? I bought it from the 99 Cents store it went on but nothing stuck and it just peeled off.
Hi So happy you are making these. About the glue, make sure the glass is clean and dry and not cold. I noticed if the surface is cold hot glue won’t stick Hugs Stacy
my mom is having a Christmas contest at her assisted living place of residence, so i thought it would be fun for her and i to make these and put on the shelf next to her front door
Teresa That is a great idea. These are really cute and inexpensive to make as well. I love that you and your mom will be making these together, if you have any questions let me know Hugs Stacy

Wash the wine glass so it sparkles and take the tags off so you’re glueing to the ornament and not glueing to the tag. Less likely to come apart.
so cute love this idea

Thanks so much

You can use regular helmets glue on the ribbon and allow it to dry and the glitter will not come off...
Where can you get figures other than dollar tree and dollar general

Hi Rachel,

My Cricut would LOVE to cut out those circles.
Or better yet, cut a scalloped circle slightly larger than the rim of the wine glass and skip the trimming! Use glitter cardstock.
HI Drew,
That is a great idea to use glitter card stock. Where you when I was making these, LOL, I could of used that thought
Hugs, Stacy
