After figuring out my K1 max, I absolutely love it. Its a work horse once you get the extruder figured out.
You don’t need the app, just enter the printer IP address in your web browser and add it to your home page.
I have my for a week now and have printed constantly and never added glue to plate, never had a problem.

Also reading about fitting a Micro-Swiss FlowTech Hotend which allows cold nozzle changing.
The K1 is advertised as auto bed leveling And most reviews mention it But it does not level the bed It makes a mesh and compensates during printing simulating a level bed The scheme works well though I don't understand the glue I just wipe the bed between prints with alcohol and have not had any issues
Depending on the material being printed, the glue is actually needed as a release agent. PETG for example sticks TOO WELL to the build surface!

Really love the idea of crossover boards. I was thinking about that for some of my builds
speaker or speedy? I am looking at either a K1 K1 max or P1s but they offer a pre-order of a K1 speedy for 539 euro. But no details what the difference between the K1 and the K1 speedy is.
@@Optikification that’s interesting. In the US it was believed the K1 and speedy are the same machine just marketed differently. There appears to be no difference that I can see. Having said that, now that I have a K-1, I am not interested in upgrading to anything else. It really is that good. I would highly recommend a Max. In fact, I’m considering getting a Max and giving this one to my children. I really like the larger bed and it would’ve came in handy with my latest print.

I was considering this, but looking on Amazon there were so many negative reviews that I decided on the Ender 5 S1 instead as it was on sale. It is not as fast of course, but it prints well.
I have a question though. When printing PLA do you keep the door open. I have seen a lot of people who have issues with printing PLA unless they have the door of their enclosure open while printing. I normally use PETG for this reason as I kept getting clogged nozzles on my Ender 3 Pro which was modified with a Microswiss all metal hotend.
I keep my door closed. I haven’t had any issues. Important thing is finding a printer that you enjoy. If the ender 5 S1 is that for you, then I’m happy you found one that you like. 😃
I was looking at the negative reviews as well but I realized those reviews were from the first batch. Creality as since updated software and did fixes with the new K1's. In a nutshell, the updated K1's shouldn't have any or many issues.

Are your extruder gears plastic or metal? They advertise metal on the website but I have seen multiple other reviews that show the gears are all plastic.
I believe that was the first batch. They fixed it later. I haven’t opened mine up, because I haven’t had any issues with it. It’s been perfect for me, so I can’t really speak to it. Having said that, they are coming out with a K1C that will have some upgrades that you might want to consider. I saw it in action at CES, and I will be getting one in for review. But I have no first-hand experience with it.
Ive been off and on with this printer ive been looking at the ender 3 3 se, neptune 3 pro and also the cr-5 idk what to get at this point.
If it’s between those 4, then this us the clear winner, especially with the $200 off right now.

@@HosaBosa that’s is awesome. But the K1 has the input shaping and faster print speeds that the Ender 5 does not. There is a reason the K1 is their flagship model. If it was me, I would still go with the K1. The Ender 5 would be second on my list though.
I've heared a lot of negatives with this printer, especially with the first batches. Did the fix most of the problems, e.g. with extruder, hotend?
Is the Speedy the same as the normal K1, just the fixed version? 🤔
Yes, the K1 has fixed the issues that plagued it early on. Four of my friends have bought this since my review and have had zero complaints. One of them recently received it and printed 35 hours on it and has had zero failures. It’s just a great machine.

Creality was my first printer but bambu lab is what i go to now.
I’ve heard good things. I haven’t personally used them yet. I was always so so about Creality. Good price point, but it seem like you really wanted to upgrade most of the beginner printers that you bought. This is the first one that I felt that I haven’t needed to do anything too and I’ve been very happy with it. Definitely different than some of the other Creality printers I’ve had in the past.
@Toid I still have my ender 3 neo but it's not been used since I got the P1S. Some of the things you said about the k1 aren't as much an issue on the P1S like the camera is included and bambu studio I find really easy to use. Also bambu lab have the ams for multi colour or uninterrupted printing if you have more than 1 reel of the same filament in.
@@dannyseville2543 I do like the option for multiple colors. Although if I’m not mistaken, the one thing I didn’t like about the bamboo labs was the fact that you can’t get the bigger print size like you can with the max. I think I’d rather have the print size versus the colors for myself. Honestly I’m not sure why Creality didn’t just include the camera. It’s only $25. And it’s already pre-wired. So you know that their cost is very low. I’ll have to try to get a bamboo labs in some time to check it out. I do really like the idea of multiple colors.
@Toid I only use 2 colours as I do mechanical parts. For me the ams is more for uninterrupted prints and being able to dry store filament. The only issue I have with the P1S is the purging waste, which apparently can be programmed out.
All that is moot though if like you say, the bambu isn't big enough for your needs.
For the price, Creality is solid. I have owned one of their resin printers.
Finally creality released a printer that's actually halfway decent.

Currently it’s almost half the price of the P1S. At only $400 seems like the best value out there while it’s on sale.

@Optikification I had a Bambu fanboy with a P1P get pissed and yell at me about my K1 coming from the factory with an enclosure about how it wasn't good enough without it. I took the sides off and printed the benchy at full speed and it still came out perfect, he won't talk to me now 😂😂😂
Trash printer! Trash customer service! BY AT YOUR OWN RISK!. There "lidiar" isn't true and the feeder came broken from the factory. There "fix" was for me to waste time trouble shooting and do repairs to a factory new machine. You've been warned.
I'm sorry to tell you boss but "lidar" is a marketing gimmick on both printers. I never comment on youtube but I have a hard time seeing how it's their fault that they wanted you to troubleshoot or do repairs. I feel like you're the kind of guy to scream at people working in food or customer service.
@@notaskinwalker3566 that's fine. I expected to have a machine delivered that operates. I trouble shot it for a while (a day) before I tried to contact CS. They told me to check if my paper was inserted correctly. Took a week for a response from the correct department and it was to start taking it apart. If you order a car, it's delivered but doesn't work & the business tells to tear into the engine do you?
Also I don't eat fast food, it's poison.
