- We installed a complete solar power system for Robin @ Creativity RV. She wanted to be able to boondock with her Grand Design Solitude RV. This system allows her to be completely off-grid no matter where she decides to park. The system includes Victron Energy Components, REC Panels and Battle Born Lithium Batteries.

Northern Arizona Wind & Sun has been supplying and installing solar power systems for over 40 years, since 1979. We can design almost any type of solar electric system. We do water pumping (submersible well pumps, pressure pumps etc.), grid tie solar, off-grid power systems, battery backup, cathodic protection, and many other types of solar electric systems.
Northern Arizona Wind & Sun would love to send you a price quotation on individual components or an estimate for a complete plug and play system. Let us know what you're looking for and we'll send you a quote within 24 hours (Monday - Friday).

Thr tech has improved a lot since this video was made. Try x16 lifepo batteries connected in parallel...
James and Logan from NAWS are the best! They installed 650 watts of solar, 3 Battle Born batteries, a 3000 watt Multi-plus inverter, and all Victron components on my class A 2 years ago. It was worth the 11 hour drive to have such a neat and clean installation that I still show off to anyone interested. I couldn't be happier with my system or the installation! P.S. I was surprised to see that Robin exchanged her Solitude for a truck camper!
You left out the part I was looking for. Running the wires from the roof down to the basement.
I am looking forward to adding solar to my RV. You guys are awesome and I plan on getting my system through you.
She has my dream solar solution, I was drooling over the solar package you put together for Robin. This is the best video I have seen so far. I am planning on being in Arizona next winter and will be looking you up and coming up with a plan for my solar needs.
Thanks so much for the compliment! We look forward to working with you on your project.
Nice install
Awesome video!!
Thanks!
Did you attach into the roof trusses or just the sheathing? Our 5th wheel needs solar but I am struggling with how to physically fasten them
I wonder how they wired in 50a split phase shore power. And can you plug in 30a?
Great video. We have the exact same unit. We were looking to add solar perhaps next year so will probably look you up for that. We are now just adding the BB batteries to allow us to overnight boon dock some. If you don't mind the question, how did you run the residential refrigerator to the new inverter. Did you leave it on it's own inverter as it comes or did you wire it into the new inverter. We are scratching our heads on this as it is the only thing that will not work with our new 3000W inverter just when we thought we had the project done.
Hi Barbara, thanks for the comment. Give our solar engineers a call. They would be happy to answer your question. (800) 383-0195 - thank you!
@@NAZSolarElectric That answer does not help the rest of us?
How many watts are the solar panels total.
Will it void the warranty tho if its not one that already wired?
Hi there, no it will not. We sell those components individually. Robin wanted us to install the system for her. Thanks for the comment!
What are some of the overall specs for this system? Watts solar on the roof ? Battery bank amp hours? Watts inverter? Etc?
Hi there, you can find those in this article: www.solar-electric.com/learning-center/solar-power-system-design-install-grand-design-solitude-rv/
What does this set up cost? Also what’s the turn around time…
A lot...
What does something like this run $ ?
Hi Heber! Give one of our engineers a call tomorrow and they can help with a baseline estimate (800) 383-0195. Thanks!
I’m guessing $14k. Anyone know for sure ?
I stopped watching when you didn’t show how you fished the wires onto the roof. Keep trying guys, one day you may be useful.
Thanks for watching!
