I have the three-pack Liquid sizes (1.5, 2, and 3) and I can't say enough about them. I will probably never need to graduate to the fancier reels but they are pretty. :)
I've used Lamson reels for the last 8 years and I can say they are all working as well as the day I bought them. Sad to say, I didn't really take very good care of my first reel but even so, there haven't been any issues with the drag system. Nothing even comes close in any of the price ranges. You just can't find other American-made reels like this at these prices. Orvis, Sage, Ross, etc. are great brands but all of their lower-priced reels are imported. All of the higher quality reels from these other brands are significantly more expensive. So Lamson is pretty much the only brand of reel I buy now. I hope they keep offering this kind of value in the future.
I agree. I can't see why one would buy other than Lamson.
I have a 4 to 5 year old lightspeed. Will spools still fit.
Good question, my initial thought is no. Reason being, this video is about 3 years old and the newer Litespeeds (Litespeed M & Litespeed F) are quite updated, so I'm skeptical about any compatibility. A sure way to tell would be to check with Waterworks Lamson with the exact model you have! Here is a contact page for them: www.waterworks-lamson.com/pages/contact
