if a ledge is too chunky to grind or there is a crack in it, hanging you up, or maybe you popped off the skate stoppers and now there are big holes where they used to be. there is this stuff called SIKA concrete adhesive. about $18. it's basically concrete in a caulking tube, so you'll need a caulking gun. fill in the cracks, smooth it out, wait an hour, sand it with some grip tape or sand paper, wax it, or better yet put extra glossy spray lacquer on it and you've got a brand new ledge. works great to repair pool coping too.

I see value in it, and don't consider it a nuisance. You tossing your trash in the bush makes the areas skaters congregate and skate at a giant eye sore. Next, all the squares, John and Jane Q Public citizens will get together to try and shut you down and run you off after you turn the area into a giant dumpster.
