Another good walk around. Well informed pointed out some cool options from RecTec. The bull was one of the pits I was considering but the country of origin and the lack of smoke from their PID controllers that I kept hearing about spooked me. I want a smoker not a cooker. I think I made the right decision. It’s Just a waiting game. Happy Holidays Ricer and All!!!!

That's a pretty sweet portable pellet grill Ricer! I don't have this but I have the PB Tailgater and I love it! When we just do a small cook it's my go to because these little guys are fuel efficient! Not as big of a chamber to keep heated and they also heat up fast! The Tailgater only has a 5lb hopper and that thing will go 5+ hours easily at 225! I did a small brisket and added pellets once. Can't wait to see how you like it for cooking!

Just bought this last night, had been about to but a Traeger from Costco. But kinda wanted that WiFi. Also wanted something I could throw into my truck... so this works great....can’t wait to start using it. But I am keeping my char griller smoker, charcoal, three way grill, it just needs repair parts every other year...lol

A larger rec teq has been tempting to me but it's hard to resist the pit boss warranty. I'm highly considering the 1600 as I have the 1100 pro right now. I am very interested in that exhaust fan you have on the wall and the specs. Could you please post a link as to what model and size that AC Infinity fan is. Great video as always!!

@@curtisrogers4190 Well I had both but got rid of my 2 Weber kettles when I got the SnS kettle. More options so no need to mod a SnS. Build quality is pretty much the same IMO. I am happy with my SNS and someday I want SnS's little traveling kettle. With that said I never disliked my Weber kettle but I had to drill holes in it and buy a flimsy side shelf that can fall off if you are not paying attention. Plus the SnS charcoal basket is very nice and easy to use for low n slow cooks! Hope this helps!

I really loved my 590 and upgraded to a 700 but have had some issues with it. Customer service has been mostly good but they were pretty irritated with me for using a gasket around the lid. I wanted to keep the front stainless as clean as possible which the customer service rep apparently thought was crazy. But the 1250 comes with a grease deflector to keep the front stainless clean so clearly others feel the same way and their designers don’t find it crazy. I had smoke leaking out the emblem which they blamed on the gasket. They claim the pit needs some air coming in and out of the door. I finally got a new emblem from them and what do you know, no more smoke leaking. I also have a leak somewhere between the hopper and the chamber but that one doesn’t bother me as much. I do not recommend the recteq pellets. I got 200 pounds with my 590 and they were soooo dusty. Maybe they were damaged in shipping and I got unlucky. But I’ve been much happier with the much cheaper lumberjack pellets.

I have a pair of Recteqs, been really happy in all respects. Even though my stainless is no longer pristine. I too have tried the pellets. Found them very good but not necessarily superior to other premium pellets. My 2 cents worth.

Everyone I know that’s had or has one(RecTec)says they don’t give off enough smoke and have either sold and bought a different pellet cooker or had to add a smoke tube.

I just ordered the RT-1250 due to all of the disappointment that I’ve had with my Pitboss Pro 1600.

Undecided on the 380 dome or 340 barrel. Cooking for two.
