- This film recalls the annual Cape Cutter 19 class association rally in the Eastern Solent during May-June 2021. The meeting attracted a total of 18 boats, beginning at Lymington and visiting Yarmouth, Buckler's Hard, Cowes, Newtown Creek and Poole. Many thanks to Paul, skipper of Sapphire for organising such a fantastic rally, postponed into 2021, originally intended for 2020.

I’ve just acquired a South African built Cape Cutter 19 named Bandoola from Norfolk. I hope to be able to join in very soon… I’m bringing her home next weekend to do a dry run rigging her after which I shall be doing some shake downs at Rutland Water…. Great video of what looked to be a fun event… brilliant!
Sounds great. The ZA boats are lovely. Check for mast rot at the hounds (mast band). Rutland is an excellent place to shake down. The CC rally is on the Clyde this year. I would strongly recommend joining in - loads of help from friendly fellow owners, learn lots about the boat and cruise in company. Find the class association website or owners Facebook group

Please tell your guitarist to keep his fingers clear of the strings when changing chords. The screeching spoils the melody.
