JJ TNT All down to weight of leads you use. If I fish still waters, I use 1oz. If I fish a fairly fast river, I would use anything from 2 oz -3 oz for river
JJ TNT what carpcoarse1 is bang on - you can't beat just using required weight of the end BUT there is a few tricks like creating a bow in the line as well using correct type feeders/leads. I may put something together at some point.
@@AndrewsKnots thanks for the response, l learned about the now in the line yesterday. So anglers trot the lead down the river, why? Also, my rod and line hum when l am fishing, is this the stretch in the line? Worried as it may scar fish away.
Another brilliant video. Really enjoying your videos . I’ve been barbel fishing for 19 years and I don’t think I’ve caught a 100 barbel in those years ! I need help ! 😢😢 Keep up these fantastic videos 🎣🎣🎣👍🏻
Hi Gavin, I have completed it facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=944412342561648&set=a.285150391821183&type=3&theater Just a bit behind with video production! 👍👍
Приветствую. С интересом смотрю видео, хотя усача в наших краях никогда и не было:) Есть пару вопросов про удилища класса Специалист, можешь помочь с выбором?
Thank you. I would say go with a 'specialist' rod rated to about 1.75-2.25 lb. and with version which has two types of tips 'avon' and 'quiver/feeder'. Plenty to choose from: Drennan, Fox, Daiwa, Korum etc. Cheers

It depends where you fish for them. I just can say this: on the Trent, when the conditions are correct, you can have huge hits. 👌
He is in the most prolific barbel area on the Trent.
