Hey y'all. If you haven't tried Keystone Meats. You really ought to be getting you some and putting it on your pantry shelves. Their product is exceptional and I can highly recommend it. Y'all take care and enjoy this recipe. Love ya and God Bless. - Greg
Keystone ground beef is the unicorn of can meats. It's so hard to find on store shelves 😂. It must be that good so I ordered the last two cans Amazon had in stock 😅. Hope keystone can ramp up production cause their is a huge need for their products. I get to try the ground beef tomorrow when it's delivered.hope it's worth the price tag of $10 a can 😵💫
Double check your cans. Keystone only uses meat and sea salt. None have water added. What you are seeing in the cans are the natural juices from the meat.
Nothing wrong with canned meat! So glad you got a sponsor! I make a sandwich spread with canned chicken. I just add celery to bulk it up and some Mayo. Put your own twist on it. We eat it on a toasted English muffin than top with a slice of tomato. My family loves it! Love stroganoff from scratch, thank you for sharing Greg!!
Congratulations! They are all over central KY and I get the ground beef. I can all the rest. Thanks for putting in the mushroom water. Thank you. God Bless and stay safe.
07:27 Recipe starts I love hamburger beef stroganoff. Unfortunately, I haven't fixed for a long time since it's just me eating...but this has me craving it, so I'm going to have to make some and just plan on eating it for a week 😊
Keystone is top notch meat. I do have a lot of the 28oz cans, but I live by myself, they are too big for my regular use. I like the 14oz better for regular use, just got more today. They put a LOT of meat in both size cans, and it is so tender.
Hey Greg, Keystone states on the can "No water added". Just the meat and sea salt. So just like the ugly chicken, the liquid is natural juices. Love your recipe.
Thanks for sharing this. We have been on the fence on trying it, but if you say its good, then It's going on the pantry shelfs. Thanks Greg. Keep us up on the new homestead.

Hey Greg! I am so happy to see you sponsered by Keystone! I buy it all the time, and it's my home town, Lima. I live in Wapak. I would love to see more recipes from the Keystone cans. I will try to send you a recipe of my own for you to try. Love your show!!!!
I’ve used Lakeside Beef before. I’ve made Beef & Noodles and later I made Beef & Barley Soup. Both were delicious! I’ll start looking for Keystone Canned Meats.
Watch for dented cans. They do not front any more. They just throw cases of cans around and cause dents. I ordered direct from them. I lived in Tampa in 50'S. Dad career military. Now 58 yrs in TX. Hi Greg! Keystone does add salt to the beef, just thought you should know. It’s not listed as an ingredient, but it is listed if you look at the daily requirements. I can my meats with no salt due to a sodium restrictions for a family member. We just add salt at the table. Beef stroganoff looks yummy. Thanks for sharing and have a blessed day!
Greg said they add water and there is no salt. That is not correct. Keystone meat does not add water but they do add salt. The only two ingredients are the meat and sea salt. Any liquid in the can was produced from the meat when it was canned.
I’ve got some Keystone meats in the pantry. I’ve only opened one, I think chicken. We all thought it a great product. I love that they don’t but all that other stuff that most brands add.
I just canned mushrooms for the first time. This would be a good recipe to try them with. I do can meats of all kinds but also have Keystone & others. All I can find of theirs is beef, pork, & I think chicken. Since they are relatively close, I thought I'd be able to find all here at WM. Many Blessings from Deborah in West Virginia!
i made tacos with the keystone ground beef melting a can of bega cheese (shelf stable 5 ish years from new zeland i think) did use the packet of seasoning from store and store bought tortillas but i do know how to make taco seasoning and tortillas just alot of extra work. it was not top tier but it was decent though took me 2.5 days to eat all of it. i did also add sour cream and taco sauce to the final taco but no additional cheese. much better with fresh ground beef and fresh shredded cheese but post apoc it would taste like a 5 star Mexican restaraunt after months of eating boring prepper meals it would be a nice moral boosting comfort meal. will have to try this recipe out as i always like Beef Stroganoff. wish they had a can of pork sausage too for making biscuits and gravy since i got number 10 cans of biscuit mix already. prolly have to get freeze dried sausage crumbles which is rather expensive lol.
@@cheryl_345 i got like 20 pouches of the mountain house biscuit and gravy. bit on the salty side being freeze dried but was actually decent. i tend to grab 1-2 pouches per month something like 100 total pouches atm. as well as a few number 10 cans including one that has biscuit mix powder just add water, another that is pancake mix. though i can prolly get away with the high salt content, i am one of those people who salts anything savory to a point where people are always like "have some food with your salt" lol. yet still blood labs show my sodium levels to be quite low. so either my body uses salt like crazy or i lose salt faster in some way. likely why i crave it so much body saying i need more.

Going through their canning process there is no way the meat would be tough. I've used every meat Keystone offers for well over a decade and have never found any tough meat. All canned meat tastes different from fresh, whether you canned it yourself or it's canned by Keystone.

Keystone has 14 ounce cans if this helps you.
Keystone is really a good investment.

I ordered a can of each except ground beef.. it was on back order.. I got the large cans.. I got mine from Amazon..
The ground beef is pricier and hard to get.
In my area, Walmart sells canned Keystone meats. I was surprised it was the same price as the Keystone website.
they do here now at our Walmart in Campbell County Tn...same price too

I love canning almost anything but it's always good to have food in actual cans for back up. Thanks for this.
Looks delicious Greg. FYI, there is 120mg per serving of sodium per the label. Although, salt is not listed as an ingredient.

yes, I mixed up the two...I apologize

What’s the purpose of adding the flour to your meat?
To thicken the sauce

Not creamy enough. Way more sour cream.
I don’t know what happened I got the beef & it was so tough I couldn’t chew & an off taste
Going through their canning process there is no way the meat would be tough. I've used every meat Keystone offers for well over a decade and have never found any tough meat. All canned meat tastes different from fresh, whether you canned it yourself or it's canned by Keystone.
