puligundu history Located at 15 kms from Chittoor, Puligundu is a dual rock mountain with a height of about 1000 feet from the ground. Interestingly, the hill top resembles a Shiva Lingam. It has a very narrow peak with the temple of Puli Gunteeswara at the basement. People from near-by villages offer special puja at the Shiva temple at the base of this rock during Makar Sankranti time, on the 'Kanumu' festival day. The place also offers you quiet a good chance for some adventure with its steep track and helps satisfy your thirst for some real adventure.
