What I can't believe is a single lane in each direction on the Ferris Road bridge. I put it in as a public submission. With that being the main road from the new Melton Hospital to Melton itself, and with how large Atherston is becoming, a single lane either direction is going to result in someone dying in an Ambulance on the way to emergency or with someone dying because an Ambulance is stuck on the Ferris Road Bridge. At least they won't die because the level crossing was down I guess. Cobblebank Station should have been trenched to begin with. Extremely shortsighted planning going around this part of Melton. I'd give this bridge 15 years max before it has to be upgraded.
The original portable structure has had so many additions tacked on that its not really movable :( Theres one other like this out near the SA border but IIRC its not in good condition
The current station building doesn't have any historic significance at all, it's just a plain old weatherboard building. Remember when it used to have a small cafe inside it though?
No, but 9-carriage VLocity trains are in the plans, which address some of the overcrowding problem. Hopefully they run more than what Wyndham Vale gets, though.

I understand the need for a new station, but i dont appreciate how you're willing to sacrifise the loss of a part (no matter how small) of Australian history in order to do this. Considering that the new building doesnt seem to match the spirit of the original.. could be worth having another think about your plan.
Honestly can relate with this I don’t know why they didn’t retain it. The building is massive and very grand. In my opinion, I think it’s a massive loss. (although that’s probably just my train loving autism brain speaking)
