- Late morning 04.06.2020 DM2 was on a mission to get as many fish to the nest as quickly possible. He brought 9 fish to the nest! DM2 was determined to fill the pantry with fresh fish for Mom & babies. He was so quick, only resting a couple of minutes in between trips to the retention pond and back to the nest. DM2 is an amazing father, and mate to Mom.

What a mate and dad! It wasn't too long ago that he wasn't responding to Mom's displeasure that he didn't give her the fish. Something important for eaglet survival. He sure has turned it around and proves he's worthy to be the mate of the wonderful and courageous Warrior Mom!
It amazes me how Mama picks apart tiny pieces for the newborns. Great parents, both of them.
Mom: Honey you better stop now....the neighbors are going to say we are hoarding.
Dad: Sweetheart...just showing you how much I love you and the little ones.

Mom is good at feeding each bobblehead to cut down on bopping. DM2 is really stepping up. He matured over the summer.

Being from Iowa and living nature, it brings a smile to my face watching this.

Her beak is so huge compared to they’re little tiny heads and she is so careful in chewing up the fish to make sure those babies get is each distributed evenly between them. It’s really so delicately done with her. Good camera work. This is definitely not a catch and release kind of day. Quick work there dad.
