I'll be in Zambujeira (Portugal)! Been in Oporto (before the last show in Lisbon) and I never thought I would see you again! It's Amazing to have you guys back!
Gahhhh it's so good to see those feet in the same place together again :P I hope they do another album, i'd be gutted if this Summer was the end of the reunion
Out of all his amazing projects, Mike Patton was the most in his element while in FNM. That's where he made his mark and helped create some of the most important music of the last 20 years. It's great to see he's back where he belongs
I'd already met FNM by true accident on 3+ occasions in 3 different cities/countries. Serendipity!? But Wow..I'm getting old and so are you. 16 years+1day to the day that I went with Jim, Mike and boys to a gorgeously groomed old park, 500+ yr old trees, near the hotel looking for possums...and yeah thank u Trey for really trying to politely talk to me, racing over to light my cigarette. Me, too busy looking at the clear bright Ausie stars and bracing myself for the possibility that possum pee were to golden shower us from the trees hehe, they didn't T.F. Drank my first (glass) of true sorrow and got on my way.. ah regrets, the silly young girl ran away too hastily this time again!!..But more great memories. Caught out by Mike himself "peeping" on him while he put on his hoodie, ladies know what I'm saying (guys too) mesmerized af, gazing at his adjusting, zipping up...lost in um, yeah!! Until he looks up and straight at me matching my stare, lifting his eyebrows, a gentle sweet smile, he won, I looked away first hehe. Great moments and memories replayed in my head years too late..ah fkg regrets. Then, blessings!! EXACTLY 17 yrs later, to the date of rehearsal⬆️.. I had my beautiful child. She loooves FNM post Epic...and knows the words by heart, though still of only single digit age..my only allowance for her to utter Mother Fkr..lol. Alas, she seems to direct it to MP..just a bit jelly of mommy's lifelong love for Mike hehe...too cute.
Yeah Lord P, I noticed that too. I wonder what song they were rehearsing? Maybe Matador? Puffy was keeping a light drum tempo, that's how that song starts out if I remember correctly.
ill give you a thumbs up 4 that. its just that i never thought as mike patton would be in two minds to see both worlds... i always looked up to him as a lyrical and vocal and instrumental master. i really cant see anyone like him.. but i always tought hed be "hardcore patriotic"
when are us irish fans gona get a gig date :( pleeeeease!! sayin that im still going to download 2 see u guys!! not to be mised :D but please us irish fans 'we care alot' :D
And your dead wrong about American being solely responsible for launching them into the mainstream. It was MTV, but it was the London/Europe tour and the Australian tours that got them recognized. After that, they received most of their fame from doing South American shows, Brazil, Chile, Argentina. Those shows were legendary, as was the London shows. They put on some incredible N.American shows, but it was the Brazil and Chile and a show in OZ that made them legendary. Made them Gods.
"youre either hardcore rock or rap. you choose." I don't know if you've ever heard of this thing called freedom? Means you don't have to choose. Because you have the freedom to do both. Now who is close-minded?
This video is exactly what i was expecting from it...yeah,they´re back, there´s no doubt about it. And just one more thing... What The Fuck are you guys waiting for to include Portugal in your tour dates caralho!!!!????
Yep....Jon sure looks bald... God, I missed FNM...how could one video annoy and amuse me so much all at the same time? Fine Cinematography, Mr. Patton!
Yes, you do. I'm not arguing your freedom. I'm saying, you have the freedom to express yourself how you like, to an extent. Mike Patton also has that freedom, and he is using it fully by expressing himself how he wishes musically. Its fine that you don't like it. I just don't understand why you said it had to be a black-and-white choice between rock and rap.
Don't cry, babies... FAITH NO MORE was always like this. They like to f### up with their own fans! This is what I always liked in them, hahaha! Live shows always contained something crazy, too. So, if you can't laugh on this, go and listen to some old Bon Jovi or put on Live Aid...
The difference is that FNM broke up in 1998 on very good terms. Mike Patton was always open to getting back together with them. Bungle's breakup was extremely personal and ugly. The only way I could see them getting back together is if they regroup without Trey Spruance.
if thats the case. why the fuck does he bag out wolfmother.. they are ok.. they brought back a style thats been gone for 30 years. and they did it right, theres noting wrong with that..
hehe whos close minded here??? likei said.. i went to the show and gave it a chance and didnt like it.. so how open do you want me to be??? atleast i went and didnt sit at home and ponder on the thought of masybe seeing what its like.. so tell me huffy.... you into pink as well?? you seem like the sort seeing your open and all
Yea I see what you mean. But it IS possible to have "heartfelt" rap [not hip-hop/and not gangsta rap]. Look up Eminem's song bout his daughter and wife. If that's not heartfelt, I dunno what is. Having said that, give me rock, metal and fusion and I won't need rap in the equation :P
couldn't agree more and how am i a sellout for liking his hip hop stuff? fucking hell even epic had funk elements in it and i have seen nearly all the bands mike has been in including mr bungle and tomahawk, gabmezza its people like you who sell out by conforming to one type of music
DUDE! im not saying not to have freedom, what im saying is.. how can you go to an italian restaurant and ask for chinese food.. mike has performed his shit for ages noe, hes done awesome works. and its always the same sort of genre.. im used tohim kicking ass as he was. then comes the PEEPING TOM. total change of character, it put me off.. DONT I HAVE THE FREEDOM TO VOICE MY OPINION?
Yeah...Bungle is definitely never getting back together. Trey Spruance and Mike Patton are, as I understand,. still on bad terms. Even Trevor Dunn has turned his back on Trey and sided with Mike.
omg.. hehe your funny... ive been there and done it with the music. i chose not to like it and didnt think it fits in with the genre at hand., trust me. im as open as you can get.. look at my vids and youll see.. im just saying, a master like mike turned me off what i thought was a sell out to rock.. im glad theres dabbling, awesome.. try it once or twice., its fun, but if it doesnt work, or looks bad, why promote it.,.
sorry. i just dont.. i grew up with alot of hip hopp ionfluences around me and i hated every single bit of it.,. trust me i gave it a go, just to make sure i see mike patton, but to me, it was so wrong..
thats cool.. but like i said.. im just not into it. and i cant be close minded. i used to dj and had all the stuff from nwa to boogie down productions and just being up there looking at the attitudes of people compared to rock people made me cringe.. and to be honest, you dont get the same heart feel listening to hip hop and rap as you do listening to shit like stripsearch and everythings ruined and 46 and 2 from tool as well for example.
I'll be in Zambujeira (Portugal)! Been in Oporto (before the last show in Lisbon) and I never thought I would see you again! It's Amazing to have you guys back!

A vocal god and a total goofball-Mike is the whole package!
That's fucking hilarious, totally something Patton would pull, well done Mikey!
Out of all his amazing projects, Mike Patton was the most in his element while in FNM. That's where he made his mark and helped create some of the most important music of the last 20 years. It's great to see he's back where he belongs
The way Puffy is tapping his snare makes me think the song they're rehearsing is "The Real Thing".
I'd already met FNM by true accident on 3+ occasions in 3 different cities/countries. Serendipity!? Jeez. That's just bout the only musician that you can NEVER call a sell-out. Patton's the shit!
they are the best.and i just can't fucking wait .
Yeah Lord P, I noticed that too. I wonder what song they were rehearsing? Maybe Matador? Puffy was keeping a light drum tempo, that's how that song starts out if I remember correctly.

@simonsmithmusic You realize they just announced their first USA show right?
"youre either hardcore rock or rap. you choose."
I don't know if you've ever heard of this thing called freedom?
Means you don't have to choose. Because you have the freedom to do both.
Now who is close-minded?
Directed by MP! I see!!!
Patton is excused, because the man is a genius.
This video is exactly what i was expecting from it...yeah,they´re back, there´s no doubt about it.
And just one more thing... What The Fuck are you guys waiting for to include Portugal in your tour dates caralho!!!!????
Dammit Mike. Although this is something I'd expect him to do.

Yeah, also for powerful rap listen to "he got game" - by Public Enemy...epic
agreed.

Bungle's breakup was extremely personal and ugly. The only way I could see them getting back together is if they regroup without Trey Spruance.

ahahah patton!

It says something about how OTT the fanbase is when a video that is really nothing is given 5 stars overall with 46 ratings cast
Mike sure enjoys fucking with his fans.
Where is my comments??? WTF!?
either Jon Hudsons shaved his head bald and doesn't look like he used to... or that's not him! mm, wonder if that's really Mike P with the cam.
nice shoes
sweet! too bad we didnt get to hear anything tho
i can tell by the sneakers, the cameraman is Mike Patton...
dude.. listen to that then listen to 10, 000 days and wings for marie.. which one is deeper..
"you seem like the sort seeing your open and all"
The sort? What is that supposed to mean.
You are on the side of rock (good) and Patton is on the side of rap (evil)... hahaha
I'm guessing the lack of faces is FNM humour.
Why my comments is delete??? I don't understund...
Just a bunch of 4something kids, starting out....
what the fuck are you on about mike has never sold out, the peeping tom stuff was ace and his way of making a statement
if thats the case. why the fuck does he bag out wolfmother.. they are ok.. they brought back a style thats been gone for 30 years. and they did it right, theres noting wrong with that..
hehe whos close minded here???
likei said.. i went to the show and gave it a chance and didnt like it.. so how open do you want me to be???
atleast i went and didnt sit at home and ponder on the thought of masybe seeing what its like..
so tell me huffy.... you into pink as well??
you seem like the sort seeing your open and all
Then you are, to an extent, close-minded about the music industry and different styles of music.
Uhhh...either Mr. Bordin got one hell of a tan or there's a black dude on drums now. (:53 sec)
Lol, he shows his microphone 0:38
*Shrugs* If he proves he is, I'll apologize. Haha.

Take it easy, ok?
Yea I see what you mean. But it IS possible to have "heartfelt" rap [not hip-hop/and not gangsta rap]. Look up Eminem's song bout his daughter and wife. If that's not heartfelt, I dunno what is.
Having said that, give me rock, metal and fusion and I won't need rap in the equation :P
