Kinda; cats have a need to be at eye level with whoever they're talking to which means they'll often climb on to whatever will allow them to be at eye level. This is also the reason why cats tend to like it more when you crouch down to their level to talk. It might also tie into the way that cats assert authority; whenever cats get into a fight over territory the one that's claiming the territory always tries to look for higher ground to visually tell the other cat that this territory is theirs. Either that or they just see as nothing more than walking keys that can open doors and magically provide them with food.

I have one named Stinkerton Bagel Esquire III and she is, in fact, the loudest screaming cat on Earth. She wants to have conversations but she also yells if she isn’t getting picked up and walked around the house like a baby by my mother at 5am every morning. She’s 15 and it is demanded loudly at least once a day. I have about 1000 videos on my phone of her talking to people

I had a Itty bitty girl named Stazz who was a mommas girl when at my boyfriends on the weekends. She would proceed to warn then slap him repeatedly ( claws out😬) if he got to close to me when sleeping.

Cats are crazy smart. And when they meow those are noises they use with humans and their kittens. Cats treat humans like their babies they play with us protect us( bugs, other animals, dust balls etc...) They bring us gifts ( prey, toys, half eaten food....) They try to keep us warm.
Wrong. It might not be common but it happens. There’s one video I can think of it’s on UA-cam. It might be called “talking cats”. Two kitty sweeties on a bed having a discussion with each other. It’s adorable.
Cats speak differently to each other and their babies. They use special trills and other sounds for each other. Humans get the meow.
She most likely had a rough life. So now she's just overwhelmed by normal life. She wants all the love, and all the treats. She will calm down eventually.

That's cute! But just for precaution, she should be checked. I used to have a not so vocal cat that after ten years started meowing all the time, at first I thought it was cute but then I found out he constant meowing was due to some health issues. When she got treated, the meowing reduced. Hey, I'm not saying that's the case for you but I just hope your little furry friend is okay and that you know. 🤗

It’s pretty common for geriatric pussycats to develop “Feline Cognitive Decline” (the cat version of human senile dementia). Sadly, very sadly, last month I lost my 18 and a half year old 🐾 girl. And she spent her last two years screaming her lungs out day and night because of it. She was thoroughly checked by senior Vets and there was no relation to dental issues or the mild osteoarthritis she also suffered with (along with diabetes, pancreatitis, triaditis and what not 🙄) … but that’s when I read extensively about feline senile dementia and its signs and symptoms. Be patient - I’m sure you will be - with your little furry. I can tell you, based on direct experience, that the day you’ll lose your precious one, you’ll experience the most soul destroying times ever 💔

I love clingy cats, mine is a mute and independent cat who only comes when she wants something, so seeing lovey dubby cats is heartwarming.

It's a nice cat I've only seen one other exactly like that spots colors and all it started off in second grade a pregnant cat would come in my backyard would always feed it the cats babies came fed them and there babies generations of the cat in my backyard I'm now 17 years old and still feeding those cats crazy to think it all started with the pregnant gray cat about 8 years ago th cats started to trust me around there kittens now I'm the strange uncle that all the kittens love despite the fact that I was always talking a different language rather then catanese or they also speak kittenese that's the baby steps though

There's a name for that! Not commonly used but it's there. "Talico"
Calicos and tortoiseshells aren't breeds, they're coats. My two furkid's mom was a tortie, yet only one of her kittens shared that trait. She had 2 ginger boys, a tuxedo girl, a mini her, and a pure black boy kitten. Siamese is a breed, but the others aren't.

My mom loved that breed specifically. She had four Siamese rescue pets at her death. Very talkative and they hunt like crazy.

I find my calico is also quite chatty...and very attention loving. Might be the perfect combo of breeds.
Thank you for adopting her brother as well! People don't realize how important it is for cats (or dogs) to be with at least 1 other member of their species. Then they'll have fun while you're away at work, rather than resorting to bad habits out of bordom or depression. Im guessing that gratitude for doing that is why you're getting so much attention. It's a privilege to have a cat like that...they choose their person, & you are it 😻

She's definitely got some Siamese in her. They're highly intelligent and can be VERY OUTSPOKEN! My first kitty as a little girl was a Siamese and I loved her oodles and she stayed beside all the time, even when I was really sick. I love all kitties. Yes, there are torti Siamese and Torti Point Siamese. My Torti Piont was the best of all my beloved kitties. I was blessed to foster 6 Khao Manee for 3 months until they found their forever homes 2x2.

Around 1980 I adopted a marmalade tabby female who was found by a cat-rescue organization. She was living under the porch of an elderly woman's house; the woman was unable to care for any animal. She had to be isolated in a room for two weeks before anybody could safely approach her. Eventually she was social enough to be adopted and I signed papers and took her home with me. She reacted much like this animal, wanting to be with me constantly. If I was reading she'd jump into my lap atop the book; I'd swat her onto the floor, and she'd jump right up again. It became a game for two. She succombed to a feline cancer after about three years, but it was pure two-way affection till then.

Our calico is obsessed with my husband, total stalker kitty, lol.
I used to feed a bunch of ferals, and the calico was the most demanding, can confirm.
This is true at least to my experience. One of my babies is calico and she's quite a talker compared to my orange tabby. Craves for attention, and sometimes accompany me sleep at night by sleeping in the couch near my bed.
That is a very Meezer miaow too. Calico point maybe?
First calico lived to 22 years old and was very demanding. On our 2nd calico now, also constantly running the show. If she doesn't get her way fast enough she runs up and down stairs, jumps onto banister and her tail goes from thin to about 4 inch diameter.
She is a half-Siamese cat so is very vocal and extremely bonded to her owner just like a dog would be. I have been blessed with four half-Siamese cats.

Only had one Siamese in my life. He became my best friend and my baby, we were devoted to eachother. They are great cats but it hurts so bad when they have to go. Been 6 years almost and I still miss him, it's a cut that will never heal took too much. Such a big hole left from such a little fellow.

She will always be alive in my heart and memories. Your best friend would want you to be happy, and remember him in happy memories. He loved you, and happy memories never die. But it is okay to be sad about it and miss him, it is a sign that you love him. And he loved you too, for sure.

I am still having issues sleeping almost been 2 weeks since my cat died. She would put me to sleep by cuddling next to me and purring before going wherever she wanted to sleep, and then would wake me about 6am by gently rubbing her pad along my forearm...and if that didn’t wake me she would jump on my chest and purr then begin rubbing her head under my chin.

@@davidthedeaf There is no timetable for grief. Our pets are our friends and their loss is something you have to work through no matter how long it takes. My cats are 20 years old and fading. It will be hard when they cross over. Send prayers, strength, and comfort to you. 💚

We got our Oriental Shorthair mix, Jimmy Choo, as a 6 wk old orphan...after the 1st 2 wks of my carrying him around 24/7, I did design a little papoose for him. But before I could sew it he decided he was sick & tired of being carried around! He's been a wiggly chatty-cat-brat ever since.... except for when I lay down: then he always snuggles right up between my arm and my chest. 🥰

I have a part Maine coon part rag doll and she's just as bad as the cat in the video if not worse lol. I think it depends on the cats personality more than anything, I had a pure bred Siamese and he was so independent and only would cuddle at bed time lol.

I had a blue point Siamese named Smokey. Mom's husband threw him against a wall & so I bought him with me, a month or so after, Smokey's kidneys failed him, the vet broke all 4 of his legs & they were in casts & he wouldn't let me bring Smokey home & he died!!! 🤧😭. It's been 15 years & I still miss him. My dear baby boy 🥰

She is a nanny cat. A cat that monitors our behavior and life making sure we are doing things “the right way” or “safe way”
When I first had a nanny cat, I was annoyed cause she wasn’t independent like regular cats. Then once I realized what a nanny cat is, I noticed how she was actually watching over me like a nanny. And I grew to love and trust her instincts. But she was a hard core mean cat if she wasn’t your nanny but it was totally out of protection.
Such a new concept to me, a nanny cat! Now i need to research

She's a calico - in Australia we call them "Naughty Torties" (even tri color ones). They tend to be chatty, are extremely intelligent, sassy and naughty. I have a rescued calico too & understand the guy's pain lol, they're divas!
She's a Calico, but the cat definitely has Oriental in her too and they're known for being talkers. Most Orientals have blue eyes which she has, plus I had an Oriental so I can see it in this cat.

Naughty Torties-That’s funny. I have a calico who just turned 7. She is sweet to us, but mean and diva-like to her adopted sister even though they’ve been together since they were kittens. Very chatty and likes to copy us when we say hello. She says “hey-row?”
@@RunSamRun94 I rescued my calico baby (about 6months old now), she has gorgeous blue/green eyes too. And while she was super quiet at the start, I shouldve known the diva energy in her when it only took her 2 weeks to evolve from a super starving baby to having opinions about the types of wet food she was getting and demanding specific ones. She also pretty quickly figured out that if she yells at me enough she can just drink water from the faucet and ignore her nice and fresh water bowl completely. I call her velcro cat cause she follows me even when i shower and demands to supervise everything i do. She will climb on every single piece of furniture im at when im dusting.
