Glad that the trays are working out for you. Nice job on the seat cover. I am envious watching AD in the warm climate as I plugged in my heated gear here to ride in the 30 degree NE Ohio weather today.

Yes I too was paying more attention to the covering on her than the seat.
    Good job Lex !

@@AdventureDaily 😎For sure! Bruce just called me about 10 minutes ago on my order for front springs and upgraded damper rods. I can’t wait to get them installed.
I already have his Hagon shock on the rear.

I’m a grown man (6’ 190lbs) and love mine. It has all the power I need for trail riding and cutting up around the farm. They’re great bikes, but they do greatly lack aftermarket support here in the US. If the CRF250rx were $2K cheaper and didn’t need so much maintenance, I would have happily gone that route. Frankly, the cost wasn’t the greatest factor, the maintenance schedule was.
I’ve put about 400 (hard) miles on mine in just a few months so far, and it’s been 100%.

    Great Job Alexis
Just a tip - if you put something under the seat to stop it flattening out as your staple you should not get all the ripples.
You are pressing the seat flat as you staple and that then springs back causing the ripple in the top of the cover.
Curved items are extremely tricky to do.

These types of projects always get me flustered. I’m too much of a perfectionist and will redo the whole thing over the slightest imperfection. I’d almost rather just buy a whole seat than trying to get one of these things to fit right.
Good job, btw. You pushed through, and it looks great!

you just need to watch how experienced people do it before doing yourself. For example, looks like she didn't staple back and front of seat first, put stitches on edges instead behind of edges etc. As result a lot of struggles but average quality.

I watched your video then put an “Enjoy” seat cover on one of my bikes and I had the same issues.
No matter how many times I took the staples out, stretched the fabric as tight as I could in every direction I couldn’t get the wrinkles out in the middle.
Must be the way the fabric is.
I also have a gap at the front of the seat to.
But they are nice seat covers.

Threw about an inch of really dense soft foam under my Grom seat a week ago (right in the seat's pocket, so it's a bit flatter now) and that was such a pain. I reused the stock cover so there was no extra slack to play with. If you don't look too closely it's pretty nice, certainly helps with the lack of comfort long term.
I actually used the older seat lowering video as a general guide for that process. You aren't kidding about the thumb pain.

This has to do with a different video but I had a question about your 2019 Beta X Trainer. You said you’re around 5’ tall and could put both feet on the ground or at least your toes on both feet down. I ran to a dealership 2hrs away because they had a left over 2022 X Trainer on the floor. I’m 5’5” and couldn’t even touch the tips of my toes at the same time! I priced out a low pro shaved down seat (it was about 1”- 1 1/2” thick and a 2” lower link. Still worried that even with the extra money and adjustments I still might not reach the ground well enough to feel comfortable.
How was your X Trainer set up???
Think even as a adult I will have to buy a KTM 85 and turn it into a 105 just so my feet touch comfortably….

There’s a guy somewhere here on UA-cam who did the same, but only in an attempt to lighten the bike as much as feasibly possible. I think he swapped out just about every bolt and fastener that he could, in addition to lighter parts. Iirc, he dropped something like 20lbs off of it, which is getting pretty close to the crf250r weight wise (and keeping the bulletproof steel frame).
Edit: I believe the weight between the two models is 36lbs.
