Coffee in hand, cozy in bed! Long garden tours are my ABSOLUTE favorite! Even though they still they go by so fast. I know you worry about the videos being too long but I really think your audience would be more than happy to watch a long UA-cam live or even just a super long tour with time to see all the little details. Can’t wait to see Fall and Christmas. You both just blow me away with your talent and hard work! Thank you again for all you do!
Beautiful! Have you heard of Doug Tallamy? You’ll have lots more pollinators, especially butterflies, if you give them the specific native plants that they can eat as caterpillars. Most all Lepidoptera are specialists when it comes to the host plant for their caterpillars. They usually can’t eat anything else, so without their host plant(s), they can’t reproduce.
You can buy brackets and accessories for play structures at the big box stores ( just add your own wood). We’ve had three types of play structures and the one we built ourselves was the sturdiest with the accessories the kids liked the most. I highly recommend doing that. I like the space you showed for it. You can see it from the house, yet having the trees around probably will give a feeling of privacy and shade/wind block for kids playing.
In addition to a playset, I might suggest an animal sculpture designed by local artist Paula Zima somewhere in the garden/lawn area for Benjamin and friends to climb on and around. They are licensed by Sportrock Intl. which include a horse, gecko, fish, turtle and a dog
My first time visiting your site-I feel like I've found a kindred spirit with a whole COMMUNITY to boot!!! I devoured the comments, too, and would say YES, please do a fountain video. We've just started building our retirement cottage on an upper ridge of our property, so I've got a BLANK SLATE. Not quite your zone-we're 7b in upstate SC, but just watching 2 of your vids so far, you've given me TONS of ideas. And sweetie, I'm a Laura, too!!
You and Aaron work so hard to make the garden look so beautiful. Great job! It’s great to see baby Benjamin and Russell enjoying the garden along side you and your husband.God bless your beautiful family.
So sorry that rambled on so. Seeing your little one brings back so many memories of mine. But enjoy everything you do. Love the videos. Enjoy all of y'all. Thank you so much.
I too love long garden tours, especially when they are as beautiful as yours. So much hard work both in the garden and behind the camera!!Yes...share with us fixing the fountain. Benjamin looks SO cute!!!
I love the long garden tours!! When you said, "Maybe we'll just end right here" my thought was "No!!! Wait...did she say "bonus footage?! Yes!" It's always fun to see Benjamin and Russell join you. 👶🏻😸 I think Benjamin's first word will be "supertunia." 😉 It's such a pleasure to tour your gorgeous gardens and see the results of all of your hard work. 👏 to you and Aaron. #teamgardenanswer
Love, love, love these tours. I so enjoy seeing how beautiful it is turning out for y'all. Guilty, I'm a Texans born and bred. I had a wooden swing & climbing set that was awesome for my brood (5- 4 boys & a girl) & yes she was the second oldest so she ran the show & still does. LOL But back to the swing set they loved it. Robert could keep it fixed & plus he added stuff like a climbing net & then later a climbing wall, a fort or a tea house for our girl. Then back into a fort for the boys again. Our grand kids still played on it & now the great-grand babies are all most big enough for it. Just good maintenance on it. We started with grass, that turned into mud puddles. Then we went with play sand & that was pretty good, no really bad falls or broken bones. But now we are putting down that rubber mulch my kids told us about. So we will see. But I think you chose a great spot. Line of sight is crucial with boys. They are so curious about things. My second oldest boy loved to take things apart. That was a learning curve I could have done without. It cost us a pretty penny to have the fire department & the gas company come out and evacuate our block & for the gas company to reassemble the gas meter that Jason took apart when he was 6 years old. They were NOT happy at all. Jason kept asking to help put it back together. The gas guy's were not happy. I took him over to my mom's place. Kept me hopping those boys. Oh the story's we have that we can laugh at now are priceless. God's little blessing all of them. Enjoy every day & just know how very much joy he will bring into your life. Treasure it, because you will turn around & he will be grown. So be present for all those moments, enjoy them & always, always enjoy every why! There will be a million of them so be ready. Lol Thank you for letting us into you life & home. We love watching every thing grow, Benjamin also. Xoxoxo!
Thank you so much for opening up your beautiful garden to your fans. I love how you started laughing when you said, "were going to prune trees . . . together." I'm glad the weeping willow has recovered. Much love to you, Aaron, Benjamin and Russell from Zone 7a (Annapolis, MD).
Been binge watching Garden Answer's garden tour videos and my word, her work makes me wanna purchase an acre just to put up my dream garden inspired by her ideas and also makes me motivated to fix the little garden space I have now. What an inspiration. Kudos! P.S. I love watching your looong garden tours more than watching a movie lol keep it up!
That dipped in wine coleus bed is striking... may have to try that next year! I think I may be your spirit animal... your comment about ladies mantle almost made me drop my phone. I can't have a garden without it! I could spend an hour looking at them with morning dew bubbles on them.
I love that you show the progress in the garden! I think it helps everyone to see how things mature throughout the season. I KNOW it helps me lol. I have so many plans for my garden next year because of your videos! Thank you ! Your gardens are stunning ! And I love seeing Benjamin! I think the spot you chose for his play set is perfect. You will be able to sit in the gazebo and watch him play as he gets older.
My heart fills with joy every time I see “Garden Tour” on the video title. Love your garden and all the work you guys put into producing your videos. I’ll be anxiously waiting for “how to train your boxwood” videos ❤️
I wish there’s was a heart ❤️ sign instead of just a thumbs up. It took me a while to get thru the video because I was making a list of what to buy for next year, I’m so excited. And always love seeing both your babies. Thank you for the video.
Gorgeous gardens Laura!!!! It's very satisfying seeing all of your hard work paying off. Benjamin is so adorable! Please give him an extra squeeze and kiss his baby feet for me. I hope you will be able to keep up with your gardening once he starts walking on his own! God bless you and your beautiful family, as you've been such a blessing to me.
Oh so beautiful! All of your hard work is really paying off. And thanks so much for the addendum, loved seeing Benjamin, so big and strong and rarin’ to go! Clearly he and Russell will be the very best of friends. Thanks so much for letting us peek into your family life as well as your lovely garden.
Laura, you should hear me talking to my ma and best friend. I can give them advice about anything in the garden. Even the ladies at work ask me garden questions. You teach us so much. How can I ever thank you? God bless you, Aaron and Baby Ben.
Dear Laura it makes me so happy when you and Aaron post another video. Rather watch your videos than anything on tv. I got my two sisters hooked on watching you too! Love getting to see how all your lovely plants have flourished and made your home and gardens even more beautiful. I have learned so much from you and so wished I had a garden center like yours in my hometown. Keep up the good work and may the Lord bless you richly!
I literally am planting right now while watching this video. You inspire me to start my garden in a container. Keep doing what you’re doing. You are amazing :)
I am addicted to watching this girl!! She reminds me of my green-thumb college roommate, who moved to Anchorage right after college (as a Forestry major) and wins "garden" contests in magazines. My garden consists of a fire escape outside a New York City apartment. I would love to have a house like that...but not sure I have the patience. Came to her site due to bud worms in my petunias... LOVE this channel!!
Such beautiful gardens. I know you put a lot of work into them. How you remember every name of every flower , I don't know, but you do. Lol. They are absolutely beautiful though. You should be very proud of your work and your husband as well. Y'all have a beautiful place.
Jacqueline Wells I'm sort of a savant when it comes to naming all the plants I know. After a long winter, I just need a nudge and the names spill forth. Don't underestimate yourself.
Hey Laura, one word for your garden - SPECTACULAR! It's like watching fireworks. Every area is more glorious than the next. Its so cool cause I remember some of those areas when you originally planted them. Wow!
Gorgeous!!! I'm so envious of all the beauty! You both have worked so hard to build those spaces up & you've been diligent in maintaining everything. You guys must be so proud that everything has grown so beautifully! On the play set for Benjamin....definitely wood! That would tie it all together! Thank you for the tour! It's always enjoyable to watch! P.S. I love how Russell is with you through the tour. It's almost like he's giving the tour as well! He truly is so adorable!
I didn’t hear a word you said in the bonus footage after you bought Benjamin out! He’s the cutest! Garden looks amazing. A wine stroll would be magical.
I have so many favorite areas in YOUR garden! Lol 😂 You have encouraged me to be more creative and tolerant in my garden. But as you know, still much to do. Thanks for letting us see your projects and progress. 🌺🌸😀
Love the garden tour 😍 everything is looking beautiful as always. Best part of the video was when the baby arrived and when the sprinklers came on and scared Russell 😂😂😂😂😂

I absolutely love the way you make me feel like a friend your showing around in your yard. Such talent. Love, love, love these videos. Very excited for my coffee time and this video.
Beautiful! I haven't had a chance too watch your videos in a while. Awww, Benjamin is adorable and growing so fast. It will be nice to see you chasing him all over the garden.😊
My momma has been out in her garden 24/7. I asked her why she is out there for so long! She said she has been watching Garden Answer and it has recharged her motivation and given her so many ideas! Your UA-cam is pretty awesome!. She has even started sharing her garden on her cooking channel on UA-cam too at Gigi's Lao Kitchen. Check her out!
Yes! Please show some fountain stuff, care, tutorials!! Birds are starting to migrate for the winter that's why they are so loud, and plentiful. ♥Thank you for sharing your gardens with us all & your family!! God Bless!! ♥♥♥♥
Ohh my word, your garden tours are the best. Everything looks like it’s doing wonderfully and Benjamin is such a handsome baby boy. He is getting bigger as time flies by so quick❤️😘
Love the long video! And the extra footage of that beautiful baby boy. He is growing so fast. I would love to see a video of troubleshooting the fountain and repair to the other fountain when you get around to it.
Your garden tour is always exciting and just like a bonus. I came to enjoy gardening in the veranda of my apartment these days thanks to you. I love all of you guys. Be happy~!!
Love the garden tours. I'm jealous lol. Have been talking with my husband about putting drip tubing around our house and I think I have him convinced after showing him your videos. Thanks for all that you do for us. Really appreciate it. Benjamin is getting so big. Soon you will have another helper. 😊
Hi guys!!!!!! Finally got to see it! Lol and it was worth the wait. This morning my husband and I agreed to wait to see you guys tour till tonight so we could enjoy and oh my was it so hard so tempting to wait 😆 lol. So after dinner we got our wine and got ready to watch them all our little ones decided to sit and it became a family night!!!! We ooh and ahhh we all loved it. Our little man he’s two kept on saying hi to Benjamin. Guys it was a great tour we can see now how much work it takes and we appreciate everything y’all do. We are about to do a tour soon of our little tiny garden not as amazing as yalls our weather has been rough but we are happy about what we have learned. Ok sorry about the book I just typed lol but y’all deserve to here how happy you Laura and Aaron make people . 💚💚💚💚💚💚 hugs Benjamin and Russel!💙🐈
So glad you’ve got sweet autumn clematis in your landscape! Such a beautiful vine. Down here in south Mississippi it grows wild and this time of the year it’s looking like drifts of snow!
Perfect video length for a large cup of coffee. Thanks. Didn't put a play set in our yard because we lived very close to a public one. How about some natural play structures like grassy hills, teepee trellises with runner beans, climbing stones etc.? The idea has taken over many daycare, early school and park green spaces in our city. On the other extreme, a mini man cave???😃
Morning glories drive me insane with how they take over! Just pulled out even more from my own garden for the 4th time this year. So invasive. Your garden looks so beautiful! Happy to see someone that loves choleus as much as me, cheers!
Coming back a few years later and WOW does the barn look so much better with the upgrades
Coffee in hand, cozy in bed! Long garden tours are my ABSOLUTE favorite! Even though they still they go by so fast. I second this all!
Same I love these too! 😊
I agree, please take your time. I love these tours.
Ur a super mom..

So fun to see Benjamin at this age. He has grown so much.

Benjamin is a darling. Seeing him here ....and this morning in his older confident self. 🌟🌟. Brought tears, Precious Boy ! 🤗❤️
Benjamin and Russell are sweet together. Is No still hanging around? Oh yeah, gardens are just lovely!

If you like her I think you should check out Katie Brown as well she's pretty cool
Everything is so beautiful! But, little Ben steals the whole show! WHAT A CUTIE PIE!!!
So sorry that rambled on so. Seeing your little one brings back so many memories of mine. But enjoy everything you do. Love the videos. Enjoy all of y'all. Thank you so much.
Just watched this video and saw you were dealing with bindweed! I can't seem to get rid of it in our front flower bed 😫 Beautiful gardens, as usual 😊
Bonus footage was soooo precious! I always love a Benjamin and Russell sighting! ❤️❤️

I think i missed half of what you said in the end footage. Benjamin sure does steal the show. What a little sweetie.
Awwwww.....the last part was the best with Benjamin. ....seems like he was like "leave me & I will run" soooooo cute 😙
The marooned coleus and lemon coral sedum are my favourite combination. Wow, those colors!
My favorite color combo too.
I am from Romania,a small country in Europe and i am watching you every time.
You have a beautiful garden, very nice design!!
Everything is still looking so beautiful. And I loved seeing Benjamin. So fun seeing him join in with you.
I live in south Texas. I need to hire you every season to help with my dry land (large amounts of sand). 😄 I need professional help!😬😲😱😄
That dipped in wine coleus bed is striking... may have to try that next year! I think I may be your spirit animal... your comment about ladies mantle almost made me drop my phone. I can't have a garden without it! I could spend an hour looking at them with morning dew bubbles on them.
I love it when Benjamin makes an appearance. He seemed to be listening to everything you were saying. Your gardens look beautiful.
Thank you Benjamin, for showing the last area of the garden. Great job! (He's so stinkin' cute!)

I'm sort of a savant when it comes to naming all the plants I know. After a long winter, I just need a nudge and the names spill forth. Don't underestimate yourself.

Beautiful tour and great to see Benjamin and Russell together!
