    Stoked that you’re covering front to back. It’s pretty cool to be tracking with the underground king, ain’t gonna lie, so thanks again for these heads ups on players.
    Colson certainly looks the part. Crazy to think the LB corp is gonna be all new.
    The lack of a 2nd rounder situation got me on the edge of my seat, because it ain’t about whether or not Schneider pulls a rabbit, but just exactly what that rabbit looks like and how many.

      Bro, the fact that they don't have a second round pick actually makes it exciting because you get the feeling something out of the blue could happen. Should make for great TV and drama!! Let's go! Can't wait for this draft. Thank you!

    Great highlights man. I’m curious to see what Seattle drafts, like you’re saying with no second round picks… weird positions but maybe some prospect guys that MacDonald thinks he can bring up to speed?

    • @TopBillinSports
      @TopBillinSports  5 місяців тому +8

      Definitely a possibility of something out of left field, for sure. Macdonald being in college a few seasons ago gives him a unique perspective, too, especially on offense because that's who he had/has to study on a daily basis. Definitely would love to be a fly on the wall in those discussions!

    I like Jr's game and appreciate you for the insights as to how he could mesh; it'll be interesting to see if familiarity is a factor at all in this draft. Pete famously ignored his old players the first couple drafts; so I'm really excited to see how this staff goes about business.
    Ultimately, I trust John to either talk no jutsu somebody out of a 2nd rounder or somehow manifest one or two of these guys with late round picks. Hell... he might do both.

    Servin that Hibachi buffet style for the draft.We Need a thumper at LB in the middle like Colson was thumpin from the middle vs my Dawgs in Natty. Dude got heart and is tough as nails playing with casts on both hands because they were both broken. Has the grit off the field too, great story coming over from Haiti after Earthquake. Would love Colson on the Hawks. Be nice to see kid succeed on whatever team drafts him. Prayin he falls to us, but tape to good probaby for him to fall to 3rd in weak offball LB draft. Hopefully GM JS can work draft trade magic for a franchise building block type player on defense.

    Excited for this week. I think the Seahawks still need help on the offensive line. Abe Lucas seemed to get injured often so I think depth on the o line is mandatory.

    • @TopBillinSports
      @TopBillinSports  5 місяців тому +1

      Definitely, but you don't draft depth at the 16th pick for a team in Seattle's situation. They need a starter at 16 or someone who rotates in heavily (i.e defensive line). In the 3rd round, though, you definitely try to highlight depth.

    If we can get Colson in the 3rd that would be insane value, but I think Schneider will have to snipe some pick swaps to get him in 2nd. What are your thoughts on trading back in first and getting Cooper Dejean? Although it doesn’t seem like secondary is a pressing issue, I think it’s a possibility considering we don’t have a safety on a long term deal other than Jerrick Reed. As always i appreciate you pumping out the content.

    • @TopBillinSports
      @TopBillinSports  5 місяців тому

      Yeah, I said he'd more than likely go in the second and talked about trading back to accumulate that pick... As for another safety with Julian Love, Rashawn Jenkins, Coby Bryant, and Jerrick Reed already on the roster, seems like cutting off your nose to spite your face when you have legitimate needs on the interior lines of scrimmage and poor linebacker depth, bro. I know the safeties are on short deals, but they can easily be extended, too, especially if Julian Love plays well again. I need to see what Coby Bryant can do at that position if Macdonald thinks he can play it. Dejean is pretty dope, though.

      @@TopBillinSports it will be a challenge. I saw a mock draft where they traded with the Eagles but didn’t say what the compensation package would be. The Eagles picked Quinyon Mitchell which would be great for the Eagles but I’m not sure that they would give up a second round pick to move up 6 spots. They do have 2 second round picks but if I were the Eagles GM I wouldn’t do that. It would be smart to target teams with 2 second round pick like Green Bay. So a trade for their 25th pick and 41st pick might make sense. I could see that happening if Brock Bowers was still available.

    • @TopBillinSports
      @TopBillinSports  5 місяців тому +1

      @JKANAGU11 - Sorry, bro, I get disinterested when someone mentions Mock draft. And I'm super uninterested with Eagles mentions. Seattle fans obsession with the Eagles made last season the most unenjoyable season of my 6 years. I'm dropping the Eagles to get things back the way it was prior. I never want to discuss anything Philly with anyone who's a Seattle fan again. When I covered AFC teams, nobody from Seattle's fan base obsessed over those teams, even my Jets.

    I wonder if there could be a scenario in which Schneider trades back picks up a 2nd and still be able to get a DT/NT then grab Colson. I don’t know what the draft board math would have to look like for such a trade but something like T’vondre Sweat and Colson would be a really good first 2 picks to just solidify a new defense.
    I’ve seen a few of these mock draft boards projecting someone like Byron Murphy or Jer’zhan Newton to fall as far back as 25/26 but I wouldn’t keep my hopes up for all of those stars to align. And frankly none of these mock drafts are ever correct outside of the first few picks

    • @TopBillinSports
      @TopBillinSports  5 місяців тому

      Lol, I'm glad you said that last line of your comment, as I immediately lose interest whenever a grown man even mentions mock drafts. Like I say every year: I wipe my ass with mock drafts... The fact that they do 7 different mock drafts let's you know the shit is beyond dumb... But, yeah, your premonition is correct. That's exactly what he should do, because I can definitely see a T'Vondre Sweat going a little later in the first if not the second.
      I think pure NT are more worthy of a 2nd round selection because they aren't every-down players, ya know? If he can swing that, or the same thing for an interior OL, that shit would be siiick!!!!
