Im honestly so mad there aren't more int/faith weapons. The death poker, death ritual spear, helphen steeple, golden order great Sword, putrecent cleaver, marika's hammer, eclipse schotel, blasphomous Blade and more would have fit perfectly.
Seeing Roar of Rugalea on an int/faith setup is wonderful, especially because you can use that juicy level 3 hitstun to land some lingering spells (like your ancient death rancor). Also works wonders with magic glintblade, if you find room for it. Fantastic setup!
"I went for something that makes me look like a deranged sorcerer from the great beyond" Thank you for reminding me we didn't get a Xanthous Crown (or equivalent) in the DLC. I will try to cry only a little.
You never end to surprise me with how detailed and sharp your builds are!! Both ER and AC6 ones! You made me rethink the putresense spells and what I originally thought was a meme/cosplay build looks terrifyingly good pvp! Keep this great content!
Hi Chrightt! Nice to see you posting some pvp! Int/Faith is my primary pvp build at level 139 (just barely functional) because I love spell combos! In the arena setting, ancient death rancor and triple rings are definitely your strongest spells here. Triple rings when casted back to back lets you have 6 rings on the field at a time, and if you free aim it so that 2nd cast covers the gaps between the first casts rings, it is more or less guaranteed damage! Both spells force approaches so they dont take chip, so that would be a great time to use the hyper armor of roar of regalia to stuff their approach! Aiming the rings at the ground and rolling away when they approach is great too! You beat some meta setups this video, and your verbalizing of your though process was great! Hoping to see more pvp from you in the future!
Let’s see how this is or isn’t similar to my own. So, even though the halberd is obviously a very good idea, cuz it’s a good weapon, I feel it carries the close range interactions more than I’d personally like for a staff build. As you said in the video, having people charge you sucks. Even though it is nerfed, I feel you should consider vanish as well as endure, as well as at least two hyper armor spells.
Tbh I love the variety of low stat requirement weapons in the DLC Like I want to use the Milady on nearly every build just bc of its moveset and damage synergy with talismans and buffs and multihit heavy attacks with status build up... new fave weapon probs
Martial arts is def a close second for the same reason, even lighter and easier on stats And they both use really well the consecutive attack and guard counter and deflect tear and status inflict... But then The Banished Knights Halberd has THE POKE. So I get it.
I just made a build like this, but it's actually a full caster. I went with... 54 vigor 24 mind 9 endurance 8 strength 12 dex 49 intelligence 49 faith 25 arcane I also use the circlet of light and thiollier's garb for extra arcane and intelligence and faith. I can use ansboch's blood flame spell and most spells and incantations. Also, using the finger nostrum helps, but farming for it sucks. I recommend this build for anyone who wants to try out casting
This is some really neat spells combos and a cool original build as well! I enjoyed the PvP because it felt genuine and not just like cherry-picked best-of stuff for a montage, and getting to hear your thoughts mid-duel is really insightful.
I know Rellanas swords has a slightly higher dex requirement, but I feel like one-handing the magic sword would be an interesting complement to this setup. Especially if you go the “All in on Intelligence” version
I'm really interested in the split caster build, I also want to use sonaf and rellanas twin blades so I am thinking the int split for damage would work best with decent fire damage on the weapons and enough faith for any basic incants. Infusable weapons would be magic or cold if you want a status. I feel it spreads the stats a bit too much for 150 though. Can't have everything ig
So fun for Swiss Army knife builds. This was the one thing my hybrid/golden order character needed to be close to perfect (just wish holy dmg bugs in PvP didn’t exist). And such a pretty staff with massive lore ties. I think of it more as a faith build that can dip into sorceries than the other way around. Offhand preferred incant school seal is always a strat and Golden order seal weighs 0. At the end of the day I use staff of the great beyond for light roll swift glintstone shard in PvP/pve and the 3fp to win frisbee in pve.
Really cool build - it's so rare for pure Int/Fth casters to be good in PvP since they're usually just a downgrade from a pure INT or pure FTH build! I'm still so disappointed they didn't add an INT/FTH infusion... like even if it was as bad as quality that would still be better than nothing!
Shame that there is no heavy armor for mages. The 0 poise robes there are in game are not that great imo. They could have added a set that reduces fp cost or something. I don't like the looks of heavy armor for a mage and playing with no poise in pvp is a lot more frustrating than in pve.
good to see somebody trying to use different spells and incants for pvp but if we are all honest here, you only need ancient death rancor and maybe icestorm of zamor to win against somebody in pvp especially against hyperoffensive and annoying players that have no worries about getting hit
Seeing someone throwing out a huge variety of different spells is always super cool. Have you done a pure int build guide yet? I'm curious as to how good that is.
10:10 i get really annoyed by these "pros" running around back and forth... Like Yo.. what are you doing besides thinking you look professional? It takes forever for fighting to begin because i rarely chase just to be punished with a typical turn and burn halbert thrust. So i just run like a dork like them and piss them off until they attack and get aggressive.
Respectfully disagree. It's called "spacing" and it's a control technique. Chrightt is one of my favs from an analytic side, but he didn't make good use of his projectiles. The point of projectiles is to force a player at range to either come close or take damage, or pressure them into making a bad move that can be punished. Upon forcing his opponent close, Crightt over-committed to his attacks and got poked to death. Honestly, after a lot of ChaseTheBro, it's nice to see a fight that wasn't a one or two-shot fest.
They run around because they are in neutral, waiting for their turn to attack/best moment to attack, movement serves as a way to become more unpredictable, that's why some people do animation blending to to make it less difficult for your opponent to guess your next move otherwise in high level play you won't be able to hit anything. And this are not definitelly "pros" they are good players for sure but a pro would've aproached and preasured and not allowed chrightt time to cast anything.
lmaoing at the state of arena nowadays, 90% of "players" with the most braindead off handaxe and/or handless cr1 spam clown setups + whiff punish slop. You are too kind and good for this game...
Sir Gideom Ofnir, the All-Knowing after you finish the DLC:
I'm honestly sad Gideon doesn't get new spells if you fight him post-dlc.

Anything death should have been int faith.

The poop spells
😔 They don't look poop colored though. I actually like the color of the flames from the explosion.
@@Chrightt They would look like poop if you chugged a bunch of milk mixed with blue food-coloring. I recommend that you try this.

Surprised no Gravitational missile. Is it still exploitable by aiming at a surface?

Elden Ring University at it again

No this is a spell focused build. INT FAITH lack weapon choices.

With these stat distributions you can definitely use The sword of Night and Flame, which is great in pve and solid enough in pvp

Sadly this game does not reward aggression at all. Passive play is just more likely to win that’s not the players’ fault
