Reset service indicator D2 Audi A8 S8 facelift

How-to manually reset the service indicator on the D2 facelift or ~2000-2003 Audi A8 and S8.
1. Press and hold “000.0” (trip odometer reset) button with key in ignition OFF
2. Turn key to ignition ON (do not start engine), release “000.0” button
3. Press “CHECK” button. Display will show “service in 10,000 miles” or “service in 9,300 miles” (rough equivalent to 15k km)
